Presentations Designer
Varian Medical Systems is looking for a graphic designer who is a PowerPoint expert. We're looking for someone who can work closely with our executive team to translate their business focused vision into compelling and visually stunning messages.
As a Presentation and Graphic Designer, you'll take ownership of the design and implementation of presentations, social media imagery, and other design needs on a variety of projects. You'll be tasked to execute design projects on a tight timeline and deliver high quality design that drives business results.
Presentation and Graphic Designer Duties
• Collaborating with team on design concepts
• Presentation design and development including slide layout and design, image selection, illustration, iconography, typography and motion graphics
• Creating functional, compelling, and memorable design work that is representative of the Varian Medical Systems brand
• Effectively manage own workload and work with stakeholders to set priorities and drive projects to timely completion
• Keep the stakeholders informed regarding the status of creative output, particularly as it affects project schedules and dependencies, budgets, and company business priorities
• Interface with clients on project briefs and design reviews
*Job Requirements
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 5
• Must have an up to date portfolio that highlights recent PowerPoint presentation work
• Have a proven history of creativity and resourcefulness
• 3-5 years of PowerPoint mastery
• Visual problem solver—you transform complex ideas and information into easy to comprehend visually compelling stories
• Effectively balance design concepts with hands-on implementation and delivery
• Takes the time to listen, understand and clarify stakeholder needs to make the project successful
• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines
• Ability to prioritize projects, communicate progress, and deliver on time
• Great eye for detail is a necessity
• Works to find solutions, make recommendations and bring projects to completion without the need for constant oversight.
• Ability to juggle multiple ongoing activities and stay focused on priority items
• Keeps up to date on the latest design and presentation trends
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or other related field preferred or 4-6 years of equivalent relevant work experience
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software
• Desired but not necessary experience with Apple Keynote
• Excellent all around written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent self-management skills
• Ability to show a sampling of your work-----with representative work from at least 6 presentation projects
