Elance is pioneering a new way to work, helping small businesses level the playing field by providing them with instant access to great talent. The Product Marketing team is responsible for bringing the voice of our small business and freelancer customers into the company and products.
This role is focused on developing and implementing strategies to increase acquisition, adoption, and usage of our product by our small business clients. You will work in close collaboration with our sales, product, design and engineering teams to conceive, position and launch new features that drive company growth. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering strategies for building broader, deeper and more valuable relationships with our business customers. You'll be a driven, self-motivated, and creative contributor who is excited by new challenges and comfortable making decisions and taking ownership of work.
Responsibilities:
•Create a customer segmentation model to identify our most valuable segments
•Build and execute launch plans for new releases
•Develop CRM campaigns to increase engagement and retention
•Create PR programs to drive awareness and trial of Elance
•Collaborate with the product team to help prioritize new features that will have the most impact
•Create customer feedback processes and incorporate customer feedback into product strategy
•Test new marketing and promotional programs that drive new customer relationships and maximize lifetime value
Qualifications:
•5+ years of demonstrated success in a consumer or small business focused product-marketing roles
•Comfortable working in a high energy, data-driven environment
•Flexible team-first attitude with a sense of humor
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work successfully across teams and with partners, customers, and industry influencers
•Previous start-up experience and technical aptitude with modern web technologies a huge plus
•Ability to manage multiple projects and proven comfort with decision-making
