[KITlist] Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications (Sunnyvale, CA)

Blue Coat is searching for a leader with a strong design background to drive Blue Coat's brand and online strategy. Your team will manage implementing the brand through the Blue Coat website, print collateral, video and other mediums. Your team will include a Marcom manager and web designer, as well as several contractors and vendors. You will report to the VP of Corporate Marketing as the primary brand advocate within the company.



Responsibilities:


•Create a brand that will have impact within the market and ensure the brand is reinforced consistently through Blue Coat marketing vehicles.
•Define the online strategy for Blue Coat, including bluecoat.com and the Blue Coat partner portal, taking advantage of the latest technologies to increase interaction.
•Manage the content and structure updates to the web site.
•Work with IT and outside vendors to build and maintain the web infrastructure.
•Manage Blue Coat's domain name strategy and existing domain name portfolio.
•Manage localization of Blue Coat's web properties into new languages.
•Work with Marketing Operations to generate leads through bluecoat.com.
•Create assets that will resonate with our target market and yield results from an awareness, demand generation and sales/partner enablement standpoint.
•Remain in tune with and take advantage of emerging trends and platforms within Marketing (e.g., social media, video, blogs, forums, info-graphics, etc.)
•Partner closely with the other functions within Marketing (PR, Ops, Field, Product, etc.) to deliver valuable content and effective design as a service organization to these groups.

Qualifications/Necessary Skills:


•7 years of IT industry Marketing experience, ideally in the security or infrastructure software arena.
•Proven ability to manage all aspects of an effective Web presence for an IT solutions organization.
•Track record working effectively with Marketing Ops, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, and other Marketing teams.
•Proven ability to manage creative and design talent and to deliver highly effective and creative marketing assets.
•Understanding of the IT systems and technologies that underpin marketing systems (e.g., Web content management, lead nurturing/scoring, etc.).
•Global experience.
•Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills.
•Exceptional organizational and creative skills.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Experience tracking and managing budgets effectively.
•Team player with trust across the entire organization.


Education:


•Bachelor's degree required with formal education in design. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
