Director of Architecture for IMS & SBC Over Cloud

Huawei is building a new IMS/SBC Over Cloud project within the USA R&D centre. We are looking for a visionary and technology savvy director of architecture to lead the IMS/SBC over Cloud solution . The solution will be to establish the next decade architecture of IMS&SBC in VoLTE，and enhance Huawei's leading marketing position. The system strategy will further explore the ways to how to move the tradition IMS&SBC product to Cloud platform, and how to guarantee the Carrier SLA & QoS, through the new product architect of IMS&SBC. We want to enhance the cloud platform function technologies. The candidate will take the responsibilities to build a solution with deep understanding of the technologies and visions behind the success stories like ACME, Cisco. The responsibilities are listed below.

Responsibilities:

Technology planning: To analyse the Technology trend in IMS&SBC over Cloud, and analyse impact on the Carrier Cloud related aspects. To provide proposal for the internal research project and the rhythm of product.
Research and Design: To cooperate with HQ research team and product team on related projects (IMS&SBC product, the Carrier Cloud platform, SDN, etc) and provide guidance to the engineers to find innovative solutions. Lead the agile R&D team to develop the sub product or prototype as the pilot process for the official product development.
Reporting: To report to the President of Convergence Communication product line.

Qualifications:

5-8 years experiences in IMS or SBC domain, 2 years experiences in the cloud platform.
Design and architect experiences with the IMS or SBC product moved to cloud platform projects
Deep understanding of the telecom equipment SLA requirement, the architect of IMS or SBC product.
Deep understanding of the cloud technology, such as VMware, OpenStack; and know the key message of how to enhance the cloud platform to adapt to the carrier requirements.
Deep understanding of the trend of telecom software to cloud platform, and the Business Value to customers.
Strong knowledge of the software architecture of the cloud platform, and how to inter-work and integrate the OM System between the IMS&SBC software and the cloud platform.
