We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to support social engagement efforts at a high tech company in Santa Cruz, CA. As the Social Media Specialist, you will bring a personal touch to each interaction with customers, partners and other stakeholders on our branded social channels, including Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. As part of the Global Communications team, you will be the lead for these social sites and provide engagement that aligns with the corporate marketing initiatives and be responsible for listening to community members and responding to their concerns. Salesforce.com platform tools will be employed.

This is a great job for a recent college graduate or professional with social marketing skills.

This is a 40 hour per week role onsite work at the client's offices in Santa Cruz, CA, for 18 months. This is a w-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee, health benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a community and social media editorial calendar aligned with corporate initiatives including product and solution launches, special offers, events, etc.

• Implement the social media and community content strategy to engage and grow our community with both the B2B and B2C audiences.

• Create engaging content for community social marketing purposes.

• Build customer relationships by handling questions, complaints and concerns, with promptness and professionalism

• Lead the strategy for social listening and community engagement in order to join and drive conversations.

• Stay current with industry social community engagement best practices and implement strategies to increase the reach and impact of content pieces

Requirements

• BA/BS degree preferred; or combination of education and experience in a social marketing position

• Social media and community experience – either through internships, jobs, or significant personal usage across multiple social media channels

• Creative writer and communicator, good listener

• Great sense of humor, positive attitude and enthusiastic

• Committed to helping people in social channels; passion for client service and connecting with people

• Ability to grasp how community, content and the social web align with wider business goals

• Commitment to effective internal relationships, communication and collaboration

• Ability to travel to events to be the on the ground, personal voice through social channels
