Position – Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue on sales of ERP Financials software license and services within the western region, focused on the Non-Profit Sector, to meet quarterly and annual quota assignment. Example activities include identification of prospects, lead follow-up, account qualification, sales cycle operation, agreement approval and transition to customer status.
They are looking for a highly motivated, high energy, and passionate person to join their Sales Team working to sell innovative solutions. May have worked for firms like NetSuite, Sage, Workday, Intact etc. or smaller firms.
Reports to a Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for penetration of their territory & vertical to identify and qualify potential customers
· Build a sales pipeline of prospective customers from marketing leads as well as through leads generated by the Account Executives own activity.
· Manage sales cycle of prospective customers including qualification, needs analysis, demonstration, solution definition, negotiation, closure and transition. Engage and utilize the firm’s resources as needed
· Develop company, market and product knowledge to achieve revenue goals.
· Collect and share competitive information, product feedback and partner information as acquired
· Cultivate customer reference sites and success stories to promote market presence and assist in achievement of revenue goals
· Complete required reports in a timely fashion including forecast, pipeline, schedule, win/loss and expense reports
Required Skills and Competencies:
· The candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
· The ability to manage multiple complex sales cycles
· Must bring an eagerness to work in an entrepreneurial environment and possess an extremely high level of integrity
· Must be prepared to drive leads, generate revenue and follow-up with customers
· Minimum 3 plus years’ experience selling financial or ERP software and services
· Finance and accounting experience preferred with a proven ability to run complex software sales cycles
· Experience selling into the Non-Profit Sector a must have
· Experience in the Financial Services and/or Professional Services sector helpful;
· Consistent achievement of revenue and quota assignment;
· Experience with a CRM tool, ideally Salesforce.com.
· BA or BS degree
