NetSpend Direct is an entrepreneurial business unit within NetSpend, with responsibility for growing the company's online and direct-to-consumer business line including all facets of customer acquisition and retention, servicing customers through web and mobile platforms, and strategic partnerships.
The Senior Direct Response/ Performance Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the overall strategy and tactical execution to acquire new customers through direct response channels including digital media (display, video, rich media) and traditional broadcast media via direct response TV. You will manage an existing DRTV channel and have overall responsibility for TV spot creative development, media placement and the performance management of multiple DRTV media agencies.
Ideal candidates will have solid performance marketing experience, including creative testing, familiarity with ad networks and platforms and digital video as an advertising medium. Deployed strategies will generate brand awareness via top funnel media focused on reach, and measured by down funnel impact on sales. Successful candidate should have familiarity with different attribution strategies, models and platforms. Experience managing DRTV campaigns is preferred, but a willingness to roll up your sleeves, learn, execute and optimize per learnings will be considered.
Success in this position requires: the ability to stay highly organized and detail oriented in a dynamic, team-focused environment; a willingness to experiment and build new strategies; a passion for measurement/ metrics within a performance marketing environment.
Responsibilities:
Create, execute and measure digital, display and DRTV marketing campaigns to acquire new customers for NetSpend's suite of prepaid debit card products
Identify test sources, targeting, manage budget and optimize placements as needed
Develop engaging, impactful, and relevant creative while ensuring they are digitally optimized across all relevant platforms. Work with internal and external teams to test advertising and landing page creative
Manage DRTV agencies to provide and deploy media plans for multiple prepaid card brands, optimize placements as required to meet KPIs
Update existing DRTV creative as required, and in conjunction with production agencies, develop new compelling creative
Report channel performance weekly to marketing team and account management, forecast monthly response volume and budgets.
Requirements:
3 - 5 years experience working directly with digital or broadcast media, or digital media/ ad buying platforms, or as an account manager in a relevant agency or client-side role
Familiarity with different attribution strategies, models and platforms
Familiar with KPIs: CPA, CPC, CPM, and LTV
Ability to manage multiple work streams while maintaining strict attention to details
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, and collaborate within a fast-paced team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and solid organizational skills
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable dealing with the ambiguity associated with building and scaling a new advertising channel
Quantitative thinker with advanced Excel skills
Occasional travel to Austin headquarters as needed
