The Brand Creative team is searching for a skilled and experienced client services manager to act as a marketing advisor and project manager for external and internal-facing marketing activities. Our team delivers centralized marketing, creative and editorial services to corporate and product marketing groups across VMware.

You will work closely with these internal clients to advise, plan and manage the development and production of all project deliverables, from concept development through completion. Projects include event and marketing campaign themes and design systems, messaging and design guideline and tools, videos, infographics, digital/interactive experiences, email, and collateral.

You will engage with internal clients as a peer and advisor to help them specify, scope and deliver marketing programs on time and on budget.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and stakeholders across VMware to scope projects, helping identify audiences, objectives, key messages, and other key elements required for creative projects

• Develop clear creative briefs based on client needs and sound marketing principles

• Develop and maintain solid working relationships; encourage a collaborative approach with departmental team members and clients

• Ensure all phases of creative development and publishing are resourced and scheduled, including brainstorming, writing and editorial, design, production, reviews and approvals, proofreading, posting, printing, logistics coordination, and metrics tracking

• Coordinate kick-off meetings and help ensure creative team receives all relevant information and background to initiate projects

• Create detailed production schedules for clients and creative teams; update schedules and communicate to teams as schedules and scope of work changes

• Oversee the flow of information between Brand Creative and department teams

• Work with Creative Director and Editorial Director to ensure projects comply with brand guidelines, track to creative brief requirements, and satisfy clients' input

• Manage and track multiple job requests simultaneously. Ensure that details are correct and consistently updated in project tracking database tool

• Develop and document processes and workflows to maximize team productivity and efficiency

• Traffic incoming requests and work with Creative Director, art directors, and Editorial Director to assign projects to appropriate team member

• Help develop and maintain Brand Creative internal communication channels, including social media and intranet content, that showcase and evangelize the team's services, tools, and guidelines

• Assume additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• Proven success in a similar marketing communications position for at least 5 years in global technology company

• Knowledge of the creative development and production processes

• Experienced and comfortable interfacing with cross-functional teams at all levels

• Strong communications skills – both written and verbal

• Proactive, responsive, and customer service oriented with a strong sense of project ownership and accountability; ability to prioritize and work independently

• Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving skills

• Proficient PC/Mac skills including MS Office and other tools; SharePoint, WordPress and basic HTML skills a plus

• Advertising agency experience a plus, especially in account services

• Workfront/At Task experience a plus
