SanDisk is seeking a talented Web Designer with a passion for digital design to help take our online presence to the next level. This individual will develop and coordinate all visual elements on the website to deliver a clean, consistent, and visually-compelling online experience. The ideal candidate will be able to innovate and lead at the user interface and site experience level, while also being capable of producing final graphic assets and deliverables on time to the publishing teams.
In this position, the individual will be responsible for:
• Creating mock-ups, templates, storyboards, design prototypes, and final assets for new web content and site features
• Assuring that web content leverages appropriate visual elements to communicate most effectively to the web site visitor
• Creating and managing website visual style standards and guides
• Guaranteeing the website and all its content reinforces overall corporate identity/brand
• Prioritizing and managing work to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Coordinating closely with retail marketing creative team on customer-facing promotional web elements, such as landing pages and online banner ads
• Managing web design vendor and contractors
• Supporting other creative design projects as needed
This position requires:
• Proven history of managing corporate web design, preferably for technology companies
• A strong user-centric design philosophy
• Self-starter motivation, with excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills – proficiency in English required
• Ability to work independently or within a team, and comfortable collaborating in a complex organization with management, teammates, members of other teams, and vendors
• Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, and experience with other design tools such as Illustrator
• Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS)
• Experience in online design for mobile experiences a plus
• Compelling portfolio featuring digital and/or interactive design samples – please include examples or URLs
• 6+ years of digital design experience – interactive experience a plus!
