Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Marketing Data Analyst Specialist for a technology client in Pleasanton, CA. This person will be part of the marketing analytics group and deliverables include the development and maintenance of the marketing data warehouse, database design, and ETL in MySQL/Pentaho leveraging data from marketing platforms including Salesforce.com (CRM).
The ideal person must have experience with SQL, shell scripting, or other scripting languages such as (Python/Perl). Experience with ETL or tools like Pentaho or Informatica would be a plus.
Responsibilities:
Develop end-to-end ETL/DWH processes using Pentaho and MySQL in the existing marketing technology stack
Design ETL process automation, perform data analysis, and validation for marketing BI dashboards
Maintenance and production support for marketing data warehouse, ETL processes, and BI (Tableau) dashboards
Support the front-end development of marketing performance management dashboards in Tableau
Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design, by accessing multiple sources, specifically data residing in the data warehouse
Author and create technical documents including functional design specifications, wireframes, use cases, data dictionaries, and process and data flow diagrams
Skills:
2+ years of experience in ETL/data integration with MySQL Pentaho (or similar ETL tools)
Strong experience with shell scripting
Strong database knowledge of MySql/SQL, experience with stored procedures and ability to create data models, STAR schemas
1+ years of experience in planning and delivering enterprise wide Business Intelligence dashboards in Tableau (preferred) using proven solution delivery frameworks and best practices
Knowledge of best practices around dashboards and report visualizations
Excellent oral and written communication skills for translating business needs into KPIs and intuitive dashboard designs
Ability to juggle multiple projects and organize time effectively
Project management experience highly desired
Bachelor's degree required in business, sciences, technology or related field
Pay:
