The revenue operations team is responsible for supporting the sales and contracting process, establishing and executing accounting policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of worldwide revenue in a hyper-growth environment. The revenue manager will report to the Director of Revenue and Finance Operations to implement operational and accounting processes to support the company's growth. The Senior Revenue Analyst will exercise judgment and make critical decisions to support the sales process.
Responsibilities:
Play an integral role in Quote-to-Cash process by reviewing and analyzing customer orders and summarizing key transaction terms for revenue recognition issues under both ASC 985-605 revenue recognition rules in partnership with legal, sales ops and sales.
Ensure revenue is recognized in compliance with relevant US GAAP Revenue Recognition rules MapR Revenue Recognition policy.
Lead monthly revenue close process, record revenue journal entries and complete revenue account reconciliations.
Calculate, analyze and present key financial metrics and explain business reasons for trends and variances.
Ensure that the various reporting systems and source data are accurate and reconciled.
Partner with the cross-functional teams to create efficient, scalable processes for producing monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue numbers, and assist in identifying and implementing process improvements.
Assist and provide guidance in implementing systems and policies to enhance internal controls and process efficiencies.
Participation in special projects as assigned.
