Job Title : Java/ J2EE and Portal Senior Developer
Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 8- 10+ Years
Technical/Functional Skills :
Technology
o In-depth knowledge of IBM Websphere portal and Java/J2EE
o Portal Integration with external systems (Content Management Systems, Process Engine etc)
o Portal development and deployment in Portal server
o Portlet requirement analysis and design
o JUnits, Springs, Struts, JSF and AJAX
o Web Services Implementation (Both bottom up and top down) with in depth knowledge on SOAP and WSDL.
o Application design and development with in depth knowledge on Design Patterns (MVC, Business Delegate, Data Access Object, Composite View, Singleton, Factory).
o Web 2.0 UI technologies with hands on: Jquery, DOJO etc.
o Good Knowledge of using UNIX commands with shell scripting.
Experience Required
1. 8-10+ years of general IT experience with at least 2 years of Portal application development
2. Experience developing JSR 168/286 Portlets
3. Java (J2SE) and Enterprise Java (J2EE) technologies
4. Web Services/SOAP
5. Application deployment and configuration in WebSphere application Server console.
6. Portlet deployment and configuration in WebSphere Portal admin console
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Onsite-Offshore coordination
2. Technical Design development and code deployment
3. Working closely with the developers and provide technical guidance
Generic Managerial Skills
Good interpersonal and team skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must.
Education
Bachelor of Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
