Our ideal candidate is a dynamic team member who's always on the lookout for new opportunities to drive the conversation for our client's Internet of Things (IoT) related home initiatives. This person should thrive on experimentation and learning, and have a solid foundation in Global PR and Social Media that will serve as the basis for all programs in this category.
Responsibilities
Manage global PR, influencer relations and social media for our client's IoT related products, as well as helping to evangelize this activity with internal audiences.
Develop integrated communications strategies and work with regional counterparts in EMEA and AP, as well as agency partners in North America to implement them.
Work as part of the global communications team that drives overarching communications strategies, develops ideas and content, conducts media relations and manages agencies to drive awareness for our client and its products across the company's portfolio.
Additional responsibilities aimed at meeting the group's overall annual objectives.
Skills
10+ years' experience in Communications – both PR and Social Media – with home entertainment, consumer electronic or IoT experience
Experience working at an agency as well as in-house
Experience managing agencies
Tested ability to provide council and strategic direction to business leaders
The ability to identify and build interesting stories that will resonate with the media
Demonstrated ability to work with partner companies to create joint PR and social media programs that highlight the unique capabilities of our offerings
The ability to be a results-driven strategic thinker with experience in seeking out editorial opportunities and story placement in priority publications
Experience in developing and executing proactive and effective influencer engagement programs
The ability to build relationships with the media and industry analysts who follow IoT and Smart Home
Natural leader and skilled at working across multiple organizations in a company to achieve results
High energy and sense of urgency
SALARY:
Full time/salaried employee of client. Competitive total compensation package D.O.E., W2.
LOCATION:
75% onsite at clients' office in Newark, CA. 25% remote/telecommute/work from home. No phone calls please.
