Position Summary:
The Trading Desktop Engineering Team is responsible for providing robust technology solutions to the global trading desks. This role will combine Windows systems engineering background with software packaging and deployments skills to drive the trading workstation experience. This position requires providing high touch service to trading, excellent problem solving abilities, solid technical abilities and strong communication and delivery skills. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the trading and market data application packaging, patching, and distribution process for global trading desks in a DevOps model.
· Partner closely with core engineering & off-shore engineering teams for software related projects.
· Engage with software vendors for application packaging requirements.
· Provide Tier 2-3 support to global trading desktop support teams.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· At least 7 years of hands-on software packaging and deployment experience.
· Extensive experience in Windows 7, Windows 10, & Server 2012 R2 environment.
· Experience with, and demonstrated understanding of software packaging, Admin studio experience preferred.
· Experience with deploying packages and applications using SCCM 2012.
· Experience with virtualized desktops and application infrastructure.
· Proficient in PowerShell, VB script, and packaging languages.
· Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products.
· Support and manage Change Control process in service manager system.
· Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical production environment.
· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal and able to work in a team environment.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field.
