Position Responsibilities – Summary
The Trading Information Delivery team provides a full suite of applications, reporting tools, and a data warehouse which support the reporting and analytics needs of the Global Trading department, providing access to information which supports our counterparty relationships, cutting edge trading trends and analytics, and business-critical supervisory and regulatory reporting needs. As a core member of this growing team, this individual will be responsible for leading the design, development and support of strategic enterprise data and information delivery initiatives, and augmenting proprietary applications in support of the Global Trading Business unit.
Candidates will be highly motivated and “hands-on” in working with multiple application teams across all tiers, leading implementation efforts in a fast paced environment, under aggressive timelines, leveraging industry standard tools, best practices and architecture.
Responsibilities:
· Recommend improvements to existing processes, evaluate, prototype and influence the selection of data warehouse, business intelligence software and data integration tools.
· Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to create technical designs, data models and data migration strategies to support the implementation of data solutions.
· Facilitate sessions with business and technology stakeholders to define and implement actionable metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs) and data visualizations to support the reporting needs.
· Implement data quality, data integrity, and data standardization efforts across key products and databases to establish a foundation for enabling key business processes and applications.
· Assist project managers with the budgets, resource allocation, task distribution, delivery management, risk management and other project management tasks.
Required Skills and Competencies:
· 10 years’ experience in software development
· 5 years of experience delivering BI/Data solutions
· 3 years of experience directly managing geographically dispersed teams
· Track-record of working with business stakeholders, engineers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to complete and deliver solutions to multiple business user groups.
· Must be self-motivated with the ability to work and deliver business outcomes with minimal supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
· Bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree is a plus
Keys to the Position:
1) Demonstrated experience leading geographically distributed teams, delivering BI/Data solutions including data architecture, integration, tool selection & implementation.
2) Demonstrated technical depth and hands on experience with data integration and visualization tools such as DataStage, Talend, OBIEE, Jaspersoft & Tableau, Spotfire, etc.
3) Experience with Amazon big data architecture (Redshift, Quicksight, EMR/Spark, etc. ) a strong plus
4) Investment/Trading services experience is a strong plus.
