Senior Business Analyst – Global CRM (5126)
Position Description
This is a senior analyst position in a global team comprised of full time employees and consulting resources spread across multiple regions and based in our Santa Clara headquarters.
This role will work on a variety of projects, interact with and impact multiple business units throughout the global commercial organization and other Affymetrix functions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for working with the commercial organization to understand business requirements,analyzing complex business problems, recommending process/system solutions on the SFDC platform, as well as managing the overall configuration, design, and layout of SFDC & related applications in concert with IT counterparts.
- Provides expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that meet business needs of the user/customer and are cost effective.
- May configure system settings and options
The candidate must have strong sales and marketing business process skills, communication and influence skills, and be highly customer services oriented.
- Extensive process and –systems experience is also required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serves as the solutions architect to the commercial system and the liaison between the internal customer community and the IT development team.
• Consults with project stakeholders to understand business problems and translates them into functional and non-functional requirements. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources and reconciles conflicts. Dissects high-level information into details and is able to communicate them in a manner understood by relevant audiences. Where possible, influences requirements and process to effectively leverage systems and applications without customization.
• Analyzes and initiates configurations and other changes within the system per user / business needs. Analyzes existing capabilities or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, may perform configuration, tests, and roll-outs to business users.
• Tests solutions and ensures they meet business requirements and are "fit-for-purpose." Presents and validates solution with user. May create and execute test plans, log and prioritize defects.
• Balances business requirements with technical feasibility and sets expectations on new projects. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Determines resources and timeline.
Position Requirements
• Experience working with SalesForce.com on various projects and in different environments
• Sales and Marketing business process experience
• Bachelor´s Degree in Business Management (or related field), or MIS, or equivalent work experience
•Project Management experience and implementation
Preferred:
• Proven experience in implementing business needs on global systems initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Multi-tasking, time management, organizational skills required…And skills in managing multiple and often conflicting priorities
• Ability to deliver against technical and financial plans.
•SalesForce.com business process analysis experience
