This Consultant can possibly work remote.
Consultant will be working on a long term contract for out Fortune 100 client who is the leader in the Communications and Networking arena.
LOCATION: would preferably work from the San Jose headquarters location but possible to work remote from anywhere in USA.
EDUCATION: A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field is required. A Master's degree is desirable.
BACKGROUND: The ideal candidate for this position will be an outstanding marketing professional with highly developed communication skills and a demonstrated track record of success. He/She will have a minimum of 7 years experience in building and executing high profile marketing. Experience in Education markets highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a record of success in building consensus across global teams.
The successful candidate will possess excellent oral communication, writing and editing skills with the ability to effectively create appropriate messages to engage the target audience. He/She will be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, negotiate, and create new ideas in a global fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with executives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development of a marketing strategy including messaging, positioning, marcom road maps, and Marketing metrics.
Oversee marketing communications plans to ensure each program within Corporate Affairs is integrated and leverages our executive engagements, internal communications, online, events, social media, promotions, PR, customer engagements and field communications – providing a single voice within the company and externally.
Work collaboratively with internal GEO marketing teams, GEO leads and Corporate Affairs Program teams.
Continually gauge customer pulse, competitive landscape and market trends to ensure that Corporate Affairs programs are current and relevant.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Experience working in a Marketing Management role in a large technology oriented company preferred.
Superior communication skills including writing, public speaking and the ability to communicate to global audiences in a clear, timely, effective and persuasive manner.
A strong team player with the ability to work comfortably with people of diverse skills, levels, experience, personalities, and ethnicities in remote locations
and different global time zones.
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently while maintaining flawless attention to detail.
High energy level, enthusiasm, creativity and resourcefulness.
A proactive approach to work and the ability to lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams.
A high level of professional integrity with the ability to handle sensitive situations with poise and emotional maturity.
The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.
Excellent problem-solving ability and decision-making judgment.
