[KITlist] CONTR: Operations Project Specialist (San Jose, CA)

This role involves variety of responsibilities whereby the operations project specialist needs to be adaptable and comfortable with multi-tasking and change. To excel in this role, one needs to develop an ability to proactively offer support across SMO and innovate processes – the end goal is to be one step ahead of our internal stakeholder's needs. This requires the operations project specialist builds an understanding of SMO goals and teams' specific business goals and processes.

Responsibilities:
Budgets:
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a collaborator with variety of stakeholders
• Own SMO procurement process including SOW generation, processing and status tracking
• Support spend-to-plan reporting/tracking and manage incremental spending opportunities
• Lead monthly budget reviews with SMO team leads
• Own MRM input and allocations
• Syndicated Research Process including vendor management, PO's, and quarterly cross charges
• Act as SMO liaison with finance and procurement
• Support the team and our vendor contacts with budget, procurement and invoicing related issues

General SMO Operations:
• Provide monthly web metrics on key internal research content delivery sites
• Manage logistics for SMO internal and external events such as Team All Hands and annual SMO Strategy Summit
• Manage office space issues
• Drive SMO giving back programs
• Support SMO operations team's role in driving employee engagement e.g. via social events

Skills Required
• Strong detail, execution and deadline orientation & customer service attitude
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a collaborator with variety of stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Initiative and ability to be pro-active with issues within areas of responsibility
• Ability multi-task and adapt to change
• Ability to work cross-functionally and form relationships with other departments
• Prior experience in Operations or Finance or Project Management role is helpful but not necessary for a driven, analytical and excel savvy candidate.
