Lucid Product Marketing Manager is a self-motivated highly professional individual who will be responsible for all out-bound marketing activities for Lucid Imagination. He/she works closely with Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Operations and Sales/Business Development to ensure all key aspects of the marketing strategy are addressed; and collateral materials, marketing and sales plans as well as constructive business development and training are implemented for success of the LucidWorks product line. Lucid Imagination considers this position to be central to the success of the company today and in the future. The Product Marketing Manager will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer for Lucid Imagination.
Position Description
• Devise, develop and implement LucidWorks messaging on the internet and within other written content and presentations
• Define goals and strategy to achieve thought leadership in the market place
• Work with Product Management to define, constantly review and differentiate the LucidWorks product family and the feature sets of its individual products
• Develop rich and compelling product collateral including datasheets, solution overviews, whitepapers, case studies, product presentations and related videos
• Work with the marketing team to drive demand generation activities, contributed articles, blogs and customer newsletters.
• Coordinate with Product Management to manage successful and comprehensive LucidWorks product launches
• Work with Business Development to plan and execute partner marketing activities
• Partner with Community Manager to successfully execute industry event activities
• Assumes the role as an internal expert as well as spokesperson and evangelist for LucidWorks products
• Work with Product Management to maintain up-to-date competitive analysis
• Build and manage a customer advisory council
Position Requirements:
• Strong technical background in the area of Enterprise Search is mandatory
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies will be strongly favored
• The ability to understand and transform complex abstract technical concepts into concise, clear and structured product collateral including presentations and technical briefs
• Strong credentials in developing product collateral for both external and internal audiences
• Experience in managing customer/partner advisory programs
• Demonstrable experience in having mastery of authoring tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Managed or participated heavily in two or more high-tech product launches
• Participated or managed demand generation or touch campaigns that yielded above industry average percentage of suspects or prospects
Desired skills
• Strong experience in managing a team toward common goals and achievements
• Ability to gain support for project vision
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with people from all regions at all technical and management levels
• Excellent communication skills – both written and oral – and effective presenter
• Organized self-starter, high energy, with the ability to execute on community objectives
• The ability to multi-task, change priorities rapidly and work under pressure
• The ability to work independently to build and manage the overall product marketing strategy; and drive the implementation while working with cross-functional teams
This position requires
• 5-7 years of product management/marketing or related experience with demonstrated knowledge of technology, industry and branding
• BS/BA minimum, MBA or related master's degree a plus
