General Description: This opportunity reports to the Senior Manager, Global Organizational Effectiveness and will be held responsible for providing expert consultation, recommendations and management of new and existing talent and development processes, systems and programs for the achievement of strategic learning and career development results to drive engagement and performance of SI Group’s global professional level workforce. 

 

The selected individual will work closely with the global HR team to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategies and local priorities to ensure employees have access to Talent and Learning Development support.

 

Talent Management, Succession Planning and Employee Development (50%)

•Manage and advise the global People Management Program (PMP) which includes, but is not limited to the following components: Talent Review, Talent Management, Succession Planning, and Employee Development, including processes and material design. Ensure effective utilization of tools and be sure the programs drive a culture of high performance.

•Leads the overall global Talent Management & Organizational Review process to support the effective talent selection of High-potential employees. Conduct the process for Level 2 positions globally.

•Lead the overall global Employee Development program to effectively develop identified hi-potential and successor candidates that will meet the needs of the organization’s business objectives. Conducts the process for identified Level 2 Hi-potentials.

•Serves as an internal coach by supporting, guiding and providing feedback to managers in establishing actionable development plans to cultivate the organization’s Hi-potential employees.

•Assist, supports and monitors development activities of succession candidates toward goal of developing “ready-now” candidates for all key positions.

•Develops Hi-potential and successor candidates to meet future talent requirements.

•Provides a corporate platform for meaningful feedback and dialogue about development.

Learning and Leadership Development (45%)

•Identify and build strong leadership capabilities amongst people leaders to assist in developing talent by providing leadership effectiveness programs (i.e. leadership skills training, coaching, and mentoring, etc.) in support the People Management Program.

•Manage effective global programs, training or workshop interventions to maximize leadership effectiveness. (E.g. Korn Ferry selection/ development assessments, DISC assessments/training programs, global Key Employee Mentor program, New Manager Transition workshops, New Employee 100 Day Plans, 360 instruments, Internal/External Coaching, etc.)

•Provides guidance and support to the organization for learning and development requests.

•Develops strong relationships with key stake holders to ensure that learning and development activities are aligned with specific business priorities and outcomes.

• Support and exemplify SI Group’s corporate behavior and leadership competencies; as well as the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

Maintain Compliance (5%)

•Ensures the implementation of compliance programs for all federal, state and local regulations covering employee health, safety, security and environment.  Adheres to all plant-wide and company EH&S regulations, SII Responsible Care practices, and ISO 9000 programs.

 

Education and Experience

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in a corporate or business settings

•5 to 10 years of HR experience with specific concentration in talent management and leadership development

•Occasional travel required

•Must be available for early morning and late evening conference calls

•Prior experience working in global work environments – to include remote teams is an asset

•Certification in Coaching and Organizational Design assessment tools (e.g. ,DISC) an asset

•Strong MS Office skills desirable

Language: Fluent English is required, but other languages are beneficial
