SmugMug is on the hunt for a Marketing Manager with a passion for organization, process, and details.
So who's SmugMug?
We're a 13-year-old Mountain View-based company that's half heart and half brain, half high-tech and half high-touch, half art and half science, half creativity and half technology. We help photographers at all levels create beautiful online homes to protect, share and sell their photos. We have a huge following in the industry and our customers love us — and right now we're looking to expand our marketing team to help build that following and dial up that love.
That's where you come in.
We're searching for a superstar Marketing Manager of all things Smuggy. You're going to get your fingers into every part of our business and help shape our future.
What will you be working on? So happy you asked!
• Initiating, managing and driving marketing campaigns, events and projects from start to finish
• Prioritizing and managing staff and resources
• Introducing and managing processes and standards for entire marketing department
• Prioritizing projects based on revenue impact and strategic requirements
• Managing marketing documentation and reports
• Sharing processes, tools and methodologies with Product Managers
What you'll need to succeed.
BA/BS a must —MBA preferred
Ability to manage dozens of projects at the same time (and with a Smuggy smile on your face)
Skilled at focusing on the day-to-day details while at the same time looking at the big picture.
Excellent eye for design and ear for copy
Extensive background in all things related to digital marketing: social, SEO, PPC, display
Experience with events marketing and project management
Copy-editing and proofing skills
Great communication and reporting skills
Good financial planning analysis skills
Effective tracking and communication of project status and metrics
Ability to excel in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
Business development and partner management experience
Sales and sales support experience
PR/media experience
Proficient in Trello, Asana, SalesForce, Desk, Office, Adobe CC, SalesForce, Google Analytics, Google Docs
Experienced user of MS Project and MS Office tool set (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
What will help you to succeed.
A love of dogs (we have a dog-friendly office)
An interest in photography (we are a photography technology company after all)
A belief that there is such a thing as a free lunch (because we've got one every day)
An aversion to keeping track of vacation days (we don't!)
A present location near-ish to Mountain View (or the desire to relocate near-ish to it)
If you think you've got what we're looking for, give us a shout in the form of a cover letter and
resume to jobs@smugmug.com. In your letter, tell us a bit about you, your experience, what you'll bring to SmugMug and something that makes you that unique Marketing Manager unicorn we've been searching
for. If you keep us smiling (like our quirky green logo) we'll be in touch.
