DESCRIPTION

NetSpend Corporation is a leading provider of prepaid debit cards in the U.S. Prepaid debit cards are a new and innovative financial product experiencing dramatic growth in consumer adoption. The company's debit cards enable anyone to make purchases, pay bills, secure reservations, and shop online without needing a traditional bank account or access to a credit card.

NetSpend Direct is an entrepreneurial business unit within NetSpend, with responsibility for growing the company's online and direct-to-consumer business line including all facets of customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and servicing customers through web and mobile platforms.

As Marketing Account Manager – Direct Mail, you will be responsible managing data/lead generation partner accounts to generate new active cardholders for NetSpend's Direct business. This role requires an individual who is proactive and resourceful in sourcing new data, managing list and creative testing and optimizing partner performance. This role will report to the Senior Marketing Manager, Acquisition.

Key areas of responsibly include:

Manage and oversee implementation of B2C direct mail campaigns for the NetSpend prepaid card and other prepaid card brands. The candidate will be responsible for generating new customers through direct mail and other direct-to-consumer marketing channels as required.

Own and Manage assigned Data Partner/ List Provider accounts. Identify and test new data sources that meet each brand's target demographic. Monitor performance of each stable and test source, and provide regular performance updates to manager and marketing team. Work with lead partners to scale performing sources.

Work with assigned Data Partner to source new lists, negotiate pricing, execute list purchase orders, and provide performance feedback. Ensure partner billing is accurate and in accordance with contract/ insertion order terms.

Collaborate with Digital Channel Marketing Account Managers to share learnings, identify cross-channel marketing opportunities, and scale data received from partner accounts.

Manage the Direct Mail acquisition budget allocated to each Brand, and monitor lead and order volumes during month to ensure budget is on plan.

Manage creative development, message and offer testing strategy of direct mail solicitations to optimize response rates. Create test matrix and manage operational requirements for creative tests.

Assist with the operational and systemic setup of direct mail campaigns, including list ID assignment, processing instructions and component inventory.

Identify opportunities for acquisition growth and stay on top of competitor trends and insights.

Work closely with cross-functional team partners within Channel Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and Operations/Fulfillment to implement initiatives and track performance.



Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Multi-channel B2C marketing and lead generation experience with 5-7 years of direct mail or direct response experience, consisting of lead generation list/data sourcing, data/list management, testing and analysis.

Experience sourcing data/ list and lead generation partners, on-boarding the partners and securing data files to meet campaign execution timeframe.

Solid direct marketer with hands on experience in managing creatives, test plan design and analysis.

Experience with subprime and underbanked consumer data sources a plus.

Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills.

Adept at building and maintain strong relationships with external data/list lead generation partners.

Data driven, analytical and comfortable working in a data intensive environment.

Exceptional organizational, conceptual, and logical problem solving and technical capabilities. Thrives in a fast-moving, changing environment with minimal supervision.

Highly organized, conceptual and logical problem solving capabilities. Self-motivated, outgoing, engaging with a self-directed entrepreneurial spirit. Has a can-do attitude.

Strong professional ethics and impeccable personal integrity. Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.



Qualifications

Minimum 5-7 years strong B2C direct mail or direct response experience comprising strategy, execution and analysis.

Candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be highly detailed oriented and self-motivated. Should have the ability to work with minimal managerial supervision.

Bachelors Degree, preferably in business or communications.

Must be able to pass a criminal check (no felonies or misdemeanors), drug test, and meet credit check requirements of less than $4,000 in collections or charge-offs.
