Array Interactive Seeks Senior Project Manager

Array Interactive—an experiential design agency that uses digital technology and design to transform static environments into branded, interactive experiences—is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its team in San Jose, California. The ideal person has worked for a digital agency and has developed interactive installations in public and private spaces like museums, sports or entertainment venues, corporate briefing centers.

As a Senior Project Manager you will own the project process, carefully guiding Array���s clients, internal teams, and partners through the project planning, design, development, testing, delivery, and installation phases. We expect that you come well equipped, experienced at navigating complex client relationships and projects. General project planning and oversight like creating and overseeing project budgets, developing comprehensive schedules, leading kick-off meetings, working collaboratively with internal teams and providing confident leadership, is a regular practice for you and something you excel at. You are also comfortable working with oversees teams — a key to working at Array. If you're passionate about digital innovation and agency life, then we should talk.

Must Haves:

• Speak intelligently and concisely: you're going to be leading a lot of people and need to know how to communicate effectively, concisely, and even passionately.

• Manage Like a Hawk: our projects have a lot of moving parts and keeping track—even documenting—all of the intricate details will be critical. You have to create and manage comprehensive schedules, budgets, and project dependencies.

• Presenting is a Breeze: presenting to clients with our creative and technology director to senior client executives means you not only feel confident speaking, but doing so with the big wigs. You also have no problem creating the decks, taking the notes, following up, and organizing the next productive meeting.

• Grow: you need to look for new opportunities to deliver smart, relevant digital and interactive solutions to help our clients and the agency grow.

• Internal Collaboration and Leadership: you need to use your knowledge and understanding of strategy, design, and technology, to facilitate effective communication between our clients, vendors and internal teams.

• Post Project Evaluations: you will need to lead an internal project performance review to understand how we did and how we can improve.

• Keep the Team Aligned: you know all the dependencies in order to complete one or multiple projects you are working on and as such, communicate what is needed and when it's needed.

• Ultra Organized: you prefer to keep things clean and in place and can find anything at a moments notice.

• Technically Adept: You may not be a programmer or technical guru but you are comfortable participating in technical conversations

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from start to finish

• Author project documents and presentations

• Effective communication with cross-functional team

• Consistently communicate with clients on day-to-day project needs

• Create and maintain client-facing schedule

• Manage contractors and 3rd Party Vendors

• Create, manage and maintain project budgets

• Schedule reviews and client meetings as appropriate

• Provide weekly project status reports to clients and stakeholders

• Lead all project meetings and present documentation as needed

• Present information in reviews and client meetings (in conjunction with Creative, Account and Technical leads)

• Clearly and quickly communicate client needs and wishes to project team

• Recognize problem areas early and facilitate solutions

Important:

• Techie: you love technology—NFC, wearables, beacons, projection mapping, LEDs, transparent displays, interactive—and are always looking for the next big thing.

• Interactive Expertise: you are familiar with and have even produced digital signage projects or interactive installations previously.

• Overseas: Array has an overseas team in Indonesia and you have no problem communicating and working with our team in Jakarta nightly.

Education and Training

• A minimum of 5+ years experience overseeing interactive, digital communications projects

• BS/BA in marketing, communications, or advertising or equivalent

• Previous project management and interactive experience preferred
