An early stage SaaS solution start up targeting SMBs and schools is looking for a VP/Director of Marketing to establish marketing strategy, processes, and most importantly, generate sales leads through marketing campaigns, SEO/SEM, webinars, content, social media and events. This is a great opportunity to build a marketing function from the ground up.
This is a FTE role with the client at their office in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities:
• Understand target markets, solution offering, competition, etc
• Develop a marketing strategy, including metrics, tactics and required budget.
• Define marketing programs including email campaigns, SEO/SEM, webinars, social media and events.
• Building Marketing content to support marketing programs and sales efforts
• Execute marketing programs to generate leads; track metrics, analyze results and improve ROI of marketing activities
• Manage marketing prospect lists in Salesforce.com, as well as identify external source lists of key prospect groups.
• Manage installed base customer interactions and email communications
• Adjust marketing strategy based upon the metrics realized
• Manage Marketing Manager.
Requirements:
• 7 + years of marketing experience in a SaaS solution vendor
• Experience with SaaS solutions, targeting SMB or education markets
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and prospects via lead generation programs and manage lead generation programs
• Demonstrated analytical approach, understanding of core marketing and pipeline metrics
• Entrepreneurial, start up experience. Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor Degree
