FleetUp is looking for a seasoned Director of Marketing Communications Content to generate brand awareness, lead all content development efforts, manage investor and media relations and foster deep relationships with our customers and partners.

We are looking for a talented professional with creative ideas on how to engage target customers using clear and concise language for complex topics. As the head of our marketing communications efforts for FleetUp, a Silicon Valley-based innovator in the fleet industry you will also play a key role in shaping the content to drive our lead generation and lead nurturing programs. The ideal candidate will have experience creating persuasive B2B marketing content, including whitepapers, website pages, promotional emails, collateral, blog posts and more. You will also work closely with our sales team and partners to generate brand awareness. Experience in a MarCom capacity in the fleet industry, technology or enterprise mobility solutions is a big plus.

This new position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and is a full-time, on-site position located in our Silicon Valley, CA office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage media and investors relationships

• Manage communication strategies for our prospects, customers and partners

• Help generate leads with myriad content for the Fleet, Logistics, and Transportation industries

• Manage our awards and speakership efforts

• Perform fast and efficient research and writing of B2B marketing materials including whitepapers, industry briefs, websites, emails, landing pages, FAQs, contributed articles, press releases, collateral, blog posts and social media content

• Clearly, explain complicated subject matters and technologies

• Repurpose existing content into new forms to support demand generation needs

• Clear understanding of SEO and keywords and proven ability to implement in all forms of content and on content management system.

• A/B test content formats and channels to validate suggestions for change, and move quickly to implement data-driven improvements

• Provide clear, objective opinions of creative work during development

• Ensure consistency in the tone and voice of all internal and external communication

• Become a subject matter expert on Fleet management solutions, IoT, and competitions

Core Qualifications Required:

• 3 – 5 years of experience in professional writing or in a marketing communications role

• At least 3 years of experience writing about B2B technology solutions

• 2-3 years in managing media and investor relationships for B2B companies

• Small company experience is a must

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

• Proven track record of creating effective content for multi-media lead generation

• Understanding of keywords and SEO

• Experience creating content for several different buyer personas

• Demonstrated ability to do marketing –focused writing

• Ability to make independent decisions, juggle multiple projects and hit short, frequently changing deadlines

• Comfort editing the writing of others and receiving frequent feedback on your own writing

• Must be flexible, able to deal with ambiguity, and adaptable to a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
