Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Marketing Communications Coordinator for a technology client in Santa Cruz, CA. This person is responsible for partnering closely with the Global Marcom leads (B2B and B2C) to support the tactical execution of content creation driven by our global integrated marketing communications plans as well as projects that fall outside of those plans. The ideal person is curious, self-motivated and is comfortable working with cross-functional teams and taking direction from multiple people across multiple projects at the same time.
Responsibilities:
Work with global marcom leads team to have a general understanding of the segments (Unified Communications, Contact Center, Consumer) goals, key initiatives/programs, thought/practice leadership stories, product launches, market situation and trends, customer personas and analysis, marketing objectives and GTM strategy (share of wallet, mindshare, emerging vs. mature market, etc.)
Work with Global Marcom and NPI leads to assist with content creation for Business Products Guide, Parts and Accessories Guide, and Product Profiler and Selector
Submit the creative work requests (CWR) by working with Global Marcom lead and filling in gaps/holes by meeting with requestor
Field requests from HR and Corporate and submit creative work requests accordingly
Proactively think through project request holistically and identify additional needs and resources (i.e. email would require Marketo or a creative execution would either leverage aspects of existing work or need to create new using either Creative Director or agency)
Coordinate with production to kick off and produce
Handle kick-off meetings as necessary
Develop timelines and lead day-to-day management and optimization of all assigned projects including coordinating approvals with key stakeholders
Ensure quality, adherence to brand identity and platform and messaging, voice/tone
Constantly monitor and proactively report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
Assist, when necessary Subject Matter Experts (Digital, Social, Events) as well as Global Marcom leads, in uploading content in our content marketing tool (Kapost)
Ensure post project information is complete and uploaded (Kapost, Source, OpenText, need to post to the collateral library)
Monitor and refresh as assets change (updates/replacements)
Skills
1-3 years' proven marketing communications project management experience
Familiarity with B2B and B2C marketing and sales channels
Understand, and have participated in the execution of integrated marcom plans
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong work ethic, and relentless commitment to quality and efficiency
Flexibility to adjust quickly to changes and deliver on tight deadlines
Ability to prioritize based on business need vs the most vocal or demanding internal client
Ability to look at everything being created to ensure consistency up, down and across all assets created
Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and marketing automation systems
Grammar/copywriting skills a plus as all projects will require review
Ability to prioritize projects with minimal direction and must be able to dynamically prioritize projects coming from different global leads at the same time.
Strong work ethic, and relentless commitment to quality and efficiency
Ability to look at everything being created to ensure consistency up, down and across all assets and contribute to the evaluation of creative content
Grammar/copywriting skills a plus as all projects will require review
BS/BA degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
