Business Analyst-US-MO-O'Fallon

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst for a 6 month contract in O'Fallon, MO.
Brief Summary-
The business analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate business and functional requirements in support of business channels.
• The business analyst may also be responsible for the creation of "As Is/To Be" business process maps.
• The business analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
• The business analyst works closely with internal business partners, Product Managers, Design teams, QA teams, Development teams, Project Managers, and Architecture teams.
• Involve appropriate functional units to ensure a seamless project implementation.
Scope of Work-
The business analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate business and functional requirements in support of business channels. The business analyst may also be responsible for the creation of "As Is/To Be" business process maps. The business analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. The business analyst works closely with internal business partners, Design teams, QA teams, Development teams, Project Managers, and Architecture teams. Types of projects will range from internal business systems, intranet systems, Internet systems, and e-commerce systems. Keys to this position include an ability to elicit requirements that is second to none. Expertise in Use Case development is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Primarily will be using RUP, but tools and methodologies used are flexible. Report team activities to project management, functional experts, team members, and project stakeholders. Resolve cross-functional issues. Involve appropriate functional units to ensure a seamless project implementation. May coach junior staff.

Competencies-
Successful Candidates MAY also have:
o Have experience in the financial services industry, particularly the mortgage business
o Knowledge/experience using iRise v.5+, Axure RP Pro 4, or similar rapid prototyping tools
o Some understanding of the technical limitations and advantages of: HTML, JavaScript, DHTML and CSS
o Understanding of Web 2.0 Concepts
o Familiarity with implementing W3C and section 508 standards
o Familiarity with content management systems
o Good understanding of Visual Design Patterns and concepts
o Some experience tracking web analytics using HBX, Webtrends, etc.
o Experience facilitating the development of and documenting Use Cases
o Experience eliciting requirements during real time collaborative sessions with stakeholders located in different geographic locations.
o Ability to define and document business and functional requirements, business process maps ("As-Is/To be") flows and diagrams
o Proficiency in project management methods and techniques.
o Strong ability to manage client expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the group.
o Ability to differentiate between functional and non functional requirements
o An understanding of relational databases
