Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an experienced Integration Project Manager (IPM) to assume complete leadership of the process of Acquisition Integration for one of our top technology clients. This consultant will work for the Client Integration Lead (IL), who focuses on the business aspects of the overall project. The IPM is responsible for overall project set up and successful execution and operation of the project. The core of this assignment will require the IPM to use the project plan and to interface with the extended team to provide intelligence and insight about the project to the IL. PMP Certification (or close!) required.

****Please note: during the interview process you will be required to provide specific examples describing your experience with Project Management cases and situations.****

Responsibilities include:

* IPM is responsible for the entire project scope and is accountable to the Integration Lead for overall plan integrity and efficient, effective and rigorous execution of Project Management practices.

* The IPM will be an advocate for Acquisition Integration (AI) methodologies and project management standards in their specifics, as developed and used by the client. Thorough understanding of AI methodology and a workstream approach is key to success of all Integration projects.

* With an emphasis on overall integration planning and execution, the IPM will provide reporting, pursue proactive problem solving, actively negotiate, communicate and engage with stakeholders and manage all relationships to a positive outcome


Skills:

* Conduct project planning/project plan/set of project plans to achieve integration end-state, including securing buy-in on schedules and goals

* Document detailed requirements: define project objectives, outline approach, identify constraints, estimate cost of integration, confirm resource plans

* Track consolidated plans/schedules to show actual progress/revisions against baseline; manage change control, including development of process to identify, discuss, agree and log changes

* Advocate and insist on application of project management principles and techniques: realistic plans, periodic reviews, baseline management for cost, schedule and scope

* Conduct meetings to ensure they meet business objectives, using proactive techniques related to leadership, communication, observation and influence; consider participants needs and draw on interpersonal styles and potential contributions

* Conduct periodic reviews of progress with key stakeholders; package and distribute project documentation; proactive gathering, documenting and communication of lessons learned

* Prepare the work breakdown structureat all levels (executive, , workstream/sub-track levels, including linking interdependencies across workstreams)

* Distinguish between an issue and a task and manage timely resolution of issues through appropriate escalation path and prioritization. Practice pro-active risk management: risk management plan is in place; risks logged in risk log with each risk assigned an owner

* Reports on accurate state of the project: forward looking to consider what's coming; communicates appropriate details to appropriate stakeholder(s); takes prompt action to accomplish objectives being constantly proactive and striving to achieve goals beyond what is required


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


* 11 – 13 years experience in project planning & development including project stakeholder engagement, project plan execution and scope control, risk and issue management, project communications, statusing/reporting

* PMP Certification (or equivalent) required

* BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or related field

* Excellent communications skills, verbal and written

* Experience with acquisition integration for a large company

* Process-oriented thinker, who can take a process view of overall project and articulate all required activities in a logical order

* Experience constructing process flows (preferably in Visio) to communicate changes necessary to the business process and facilitate what needs to be accomplished

* Successful track record with conflict management, resolving conflict when individuals, groups or customers display opposing goal-directed behavior. This requires recognition of conflict as soon as it emerges, clarification of differing needs and mapping of effective strategies to resolve issues

* Successful workstyle that deals positively with ambiguity, including ability to decide and act without complete information and constant work toward removing ambiguity and replacing it with clarity


RATE: $3000 - $3200/week D.O.E. as a W-2 employee of Crawford Group

LOCATION: Onsite at the client's offices in San Jose, CA

HOURS/DURATION: 40 hours/week; ongoing (long-term)
