Within Schwab Institutional Marketing, the Advisor Services Marketing team is responsible for developing effective strategies that build and strengthen relationships with independent registered investment advisors. The specific goal of the Schwab Advisor Services Marketing team is to create awareness and drive action from advisors to help them scale their business, navigate the marketplace and serve their clients.

The Schwab Advisor Services Marketing team is responsible for:

Understanding the needs of our advisor clients in the multiple forms that they take.


Designing and executing effective marketing programs that lead advisors to take full advantage of Schwab's products, programs, platforms and services.


Working with Institutional Marketing leadership, client experience partners, and client delivery teams on the implementation of marketing programs that support the launch and promotion of products, services and solutions for advisors.


Partnering with cross-enterprise groups to enhance the way advisors work, the choices they have to offer their clients and to deepen their relationships with Schwab.
Brief Description of Role:

The Manager, will report to a Senior Manager of Schwab Advisor Services Marketing. This role is responsible for creating effective marketing communications to advisors that demonstrate the breadth of our products, technology and service resources to help them scale and grow their businesses. Specific responsibilities will include:


Collaborate with business partners, sales and channel owners to help with the development of marketing tactics that drive to specific business goals of service/product/technology adoption and penetration.



Serve as a marketing resource and develop expertise within program and service areas


Assist in the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns and plans that may include print and online promotions, email, direct mail, sales collateral, video, demonstrations and website content development


Project manage the creative development process from beginning to end (e.g. meet with business partners to gather project background, author creative briefs, manage the creative agency, work with internal business partners and legal/compliance, and manage production and schedule)


Develop communications look and feel keeping in mind the overall client experience in terms of voice, content, style, quality, brand and frequency of messaging/contacts to clients


Monitor and track programs against business goals to gauge the success of efforts
Work with agencies on budgeting and billing for individual projects




Technical/Functional Qualifications:

2+ years marketing experience (required)
Experience in financial services industry; understanding of the Registered Investment Advisor business (preferred)
Client focus and ability to think in terms of the client experience / perspective (required)
Experience executing successful promotional programs and solid knowledge of marketing practices and strategies (required)
Ability to build strong personal relationships and trust across business lines, with ability to influence often through phone rapport (required)
Experience managing multiple projects with short timelines; experience connecting strategic objectives to tactical implementation (required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including marketing/creative, copywriting, editing, proofing (required)
Self-motivated with solid judgment and ability to think clearly and form a point of view (required)
Process-oriented and highly organized with the ability to keep projects on track (required
