Wind River has a full time opening for a Technical Account Manager for Wind River's Workbench On-Chip Development Suite. Working with the leading provider of integrated embedded software solutions, you will work as part of the Direct Field Sales team to drive Hardware Assist Tool sales. You will manage all technical needs of some of the major companies in the embedded industry. You will strive to become the trusted technical advisor of these companies by offering them compelling value by understanding their business needs and addressing them through Wind River's products, services and expertise.
You will use your technical knowledge of the embedded software, hardware, and JTAG tools to develop and deliver on-site technical presentations & demonstrations to your customers and prospects. You will act as the customer advocate throughout the customer's program development cycle, using your technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to guide them through this process.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Work with Hardware Assist Tools Sales Specialist to develop territory/regional account plans and drive revenue
· Develop, and deliver on-site customized demos and presentations for customers, partners, seminars, and trade shows
· Work as a consultant to Wind River engineering and product management, sharing customer requirements and competitive/market knowledge with the product teams
· Manage all technical needs of account utilizing all available resources
· Manage technical resources to effectively manage customer product life-cycle needs
· Serve as a single technical point of contact and become the customer's trusted advisor and the Wind River Workbench On Chip Debug expert and resource person
· Manage Trade Shows and Seminars.
· Listen to customer's needs, architect solutions and present value proposition
· Seek out services and product opportunities that will enhance customer success, generate revenue, and reduce the overall support burden.
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years experience in technical account management (system engineering), preferably in the device software category focused on semiconductors, JTAG Tools, operating systems, device drivers, board support packages (BSP).
- Knowledge of real-time and embedded software engineering and development as well as strong hardware background with focus on hardware bring-up, previous work with emulators, boundary scanners, etc is highly desirable.
- Experience with embedded RTOS and embedded Linux development
- Demonstrated success consulting with customers, resolving complex problems and architecting solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Regional travel to customer sites is required
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming language
- Familiar of the workings of a cross-compiler
- Knowledge of the Eclipse user interface
- BSCS/BSEE Degree, MS/MBA preferred
