Job Description: 

Lendmark Financial Services is a consumer finance company that specializes in providing direct and indirect personal loans, automobile loans, debt consolidation loans, and merchant retail sales financing services. Lendmark operates over 130 branch locations throughout Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Delaware.

 

SUMMARY:

 

The HR Manager will partner with assigned functional teams to support Lendmark Financial Services policies & procedures. The HR Manager will also serve as a coach and adviser to the management team as well as an advisor to the employee base. Responsibilities include employee relations, performance and talent management, organizational development, coaching, etc.

 

REPORTS TO:

 

Vice-President, Human Resources

 

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Maintains knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and Lendmark's policies and procedures regarding recruiting, hiring, coaching, evaluating, training and exiting employees

• Ensures compliance with all employment laws

• Serves as internal consultant to managers at all levels and recommends best-practice HR solutions to achieve goals

• Manages the Performance Management Program for the enterprise

• Handles sensitive and highly complex employee relations issues to include counseling with employees, working with management, providing advice, guidance and resolution

• Manages employee relations issues in consultation with management

• Develops enterprise training program for all employees by identifying position training curriculum, identifying training sources and coordinating attendance

• Identifies trends in employee/employment issues and partner with business leaders to rectify issues.

• Partners with management to help forecast workforce needs to ensure we are positioned well for growth

• Manages the HR information reporting process (e.g., reports regarding the composition of the workforce and turnover and other statistics)

• Responds to external inquiries from third parties

• Manages the HR process as it relates to mergers and acquisitions

• Provides or oversees human resource training for new managers; develop and partners with Talent Acquisition to coordinate Lendmark orientation program for all new employees

• Completes special projects as assigned by the VP-HR

• Other duties as assigned

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• BA/BS in Business Administration or related degree

• 5+ years experience as a generalist including experience managing complex employee relations matters

• Excellent organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills

• Experience conducting training both in person and via computer

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with regard to sensitive human resource data

• Ability to effectively utilize PC and various software packages

• PHR/SPHR certification

• Ability to travel as required

 

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Advanced degree

• Prior HR experience in the financial services or retail industry

• 2+ years management/supervisory experience

• Experience with ADP
