The Sage Group is looking for a Director of Integrated Marketing to work with our client, a leader in the retail beauty market. This position will focus mainly on projects that pertain to our client's co-op marketing programs with brands—from sampling programs to co-op advertising efforts to marketing advisory services they provide to key brands. Our client is also launching new programs that serve as both salable product and marketing vehicles. This role will call for a business-minded marketer who is comfortable creating new marketing services—from rounding out the business case, gathering cross-functional alignment, and piloting/testing.

Responsibilities Include:

Help spearhead the development of a key new sampling program for the company. Responsibilities include oversight of the following tasks, supported by a senior manager:

Pre-launch activities: Business model creation through pilot

Launch preparation: Operational assessment and process definition for long term rollout

Partnership with cross functional teams on strategy and execution including marketing, merchandising, education, product management and ecommerce vehicles

Help the marketing team prepare for two key milestones with the company's third-party brands:

The annual brand summit, where they debut key marketing programs with their partners. Tasks include:

Developing the marketing "playbooks" brands can participate in for 2015, including new marketing program opportunities (campaigns they can participate in, vehicles we're offering up for co-op, etc.)

Preparing the chief marketing and digital officer for her core presentation(s) to the brand partners

Spring "market week" meetings, where our client shares individual results with brands.

Tasks include:

Lead strategic presentation efforts, creating a core presentation deck for all brands

Translate CRM data into reporting for brands

Captain the creation of individual brand insight decks (will work with a team of junior analysts to achieve this)

Ad hoc analysis and marketing strategy. These efforts could include:

Analyze marketing expenses based on brand tier and assess recommendations to optimize brand finances with our client.

Evaluate marketing effectiveness of certain vehicles to determine optimal marketing mix against various key objectives

Skills Required:

10 years of cross-channel marketing expertise

Balanced experience from both a retailer and brand point of view; beauty industry experience required.

Problem solving and analytical skills – proven ability to build business models and the ability to work with business partners to clarify assumptions

Ability to think from client-centric point of view to drive strategy balanced with operational viability

Demonstrated success working closely or interacting with senior executive leadership

Self-starter and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" with a "can-do" attitude; comfort with ambiguity and ability to work independently

Exceptional powerpoint and excel skills

Direct and indirect team leadership skills; this role will have a sr. manager reporting to him/her

Start: ASAP

Timing: 6 months, 40 hrs/week. Potential to convert for the right person

Location: SF, onsite
