Enterprise Product and Service Network Engineer
Summary:
• has identified enterprise and managed services as a key area of growth within commercial data services portfolio. This individual will be a primary contributor in making critical contribution on Commercial Enterprise service products, specializing in enterprise networks and managed services.
• This individual should have a strong knowledge of managed services for customer network implementations and have the ability to design complex networks based on their design and needs.
• This individual must have experience working with large corporate entities which includes proper communication and documentation skills.
• Individual should have knowledge of large enterprise network implementations in various industries.
• This individual has strong background in OSS integrations design and development to enterprise and managed services networks.
• The individual would play an SME role across Commercial Services matrix organization and provide designs, development, testing and sustaining for service design and provisioning, service activation, and service assurance of enterprise and managed services.
Core Responsibilities:
• Understand various WAN/LAN technologies based on customer requirements
• Experience with QoS and security technologies
• General understanding of customer voice network requirements
• Ability to interpret customer LAN and datacenter requirements
• Design and administration of multiple network products on large networks in production, business, and carrier environments.
• Design of carrier network products for national ISP.
• Configuration, testing, and debugging advanced routers utilizing complex routing tables, running RIP, OSPF, ISIS, and MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE, MP-BGP).
• Design and implementing and automating OSS systems for network products.
Working Relationships:
• Make informed decisions and choices based upon priority, business necessity and bottom line impact.
• Proven ability to understand business need and key business drivers and translate into technical solutions.
• Identifies issues, assesses and communicates risks and mitigations; recognizes and engages escalation efforts as needed.
• Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others.
• Utilizes resolution skills to negotiate “win-win” solutions.
• Demonstrate strong skill to work in a large project with many teams.
• Keeps others fully informed using all available means demonstrating responsiveness and follow-through to customer needs.
Coach and groom juniper engineers.
Qualifications:
• 10+ Years’ experience within commercial service providers space
• Strong experience facing large enterprise customers
• Proven experience working with service provider networks in a technical lead capacity for IP/MPLS product or platform.
• Strong Network Background IP services, MPLS, IP-VPN
• Expert on large scale Cisco and Juniper based IP/MPLS networks design, provisioning, and operation
• Hand on experiences on configuring Cisco and Juniper IP routers
• Experience working on network monitoring and service level reporting solutions and OSS system integration
• Experience in engineering product delivery methods and procedures.
• It is strong desirable to understand and hand-on experience of IP/MPLS networks
• Bachelor degree in EE or CS or equivalent work experience required.
• Ability to create complex collaborative technical documents
