Benefits Manager
Location: Syracuse, NY or MD/DC or any of our East Coast offices

To develop, oversee, and manage a comprehensive benefits program designed to attract and retain qualified candidates and employees, and to ensure that the company benefit strategy, programs and policies remain externally competitive, legally compliant and consistent with achieving the organization goals.
• Oversee all benefits programs to included self-insured PPO plan, HDHP and self-insured dental programs, basic and optional life and AD&D, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts and health savings account.
• Management of ongoing administration responsibilities related to the 401(k) Employee Savings Plan, including day to day activities as well as annual large plan audit
• Contact benefit providers as needed to resolve claims issues, verify eligibility and handle all other administrative matters
• Recommend, design and implement a "Best in Class" cost effective suite of benefits that supports company's vision of caring for our employees.
• Reconcile all benefit invoices for all plans
• Ensures all benefits records are kept up to date
• Assist employees with questions regarding benefits
• Oversee leave of absence administration including in-house salary continuation program.
• File C-2's as need and manage/maintain OSHA logs and annual postings.
• Effective liaison with various insurance vendors and brokers
• Maintain data integrity of HRIS system(s)
• Ability to partner with payroll to ensure smooth processing of all employee deductions pertaining to benefits

Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field of industry
• Minimum of 5-7 year's related professional experience
• Experience with Self-insured plans
• Extensive understanding of federal and state employee benefit regulations
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems
• Multi location, multi state experience a must
• Periodic travel to regional offices is required
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Ability to present materials and speak to employee audiences of all sizes
