[JimsJobs] Communications PR Manager, New York, NY

Our client needs a  Communications Public Relations Manager to support our internal secure digital delivery service. This will enable consumers to receive, view, organize, manage, pay and store bills, statements and other content from the companies they do business with. This service consolidates this information from multiple providers, reducing the consumer's need to visit multiple websites or send physical checks through the mail. This is expected to launch to consumers by the end of 2012.

Digital mailboxes are poised for tremendous growth as a new category of digital services. Several companies are already in the market offering these services, but our solution brings key advantages to the marketplace that will help it succeed. The person will also manage the activities of an independent PR agency that has been retained to support the solution's business activities.

Working with the solution's leadership team, the individual will help determine PR strategies in support of business unit objectives, and then execute those strategies through a combination of PR activities, including press events, press releases, social media outreach and follow-up, press interviews, and writing and placing bylined articles and other thought leadership pieces.

Prepare press releases and media materials as they pertain to the solution. Develop and implement public relations campaigns on specific topics of interest to the solution.

Serve as initial contact and as a spokesperson (when necessary) for trade press and other media outlets

Respond to incoming media calls or Internet queries

Determine the company's level of participation, including who should talk to the reporter, prepare appropriate spokesperson for the interview and handle all follow-ups to ensure the best stories possible

Counsel corporate and business unit communications colleagues and senior management on media relations strategies

Suggest and implement creative approaches to communicate solution initiatives. Work with senior solution executives to develop unique information, stories and angles to position our solution for marketplace success
