[KITlist] CONTR: Social Media Marketing Manager (San Jose, CA)

Please direct your responses to: rlewczyk@ebay.com

CONTRACT: Social Media Marketing Manager – Professional Seller Marketing

eBay's Professional Seller Marketing team has an immediate need for an experienced social media manager. This social media savvy marketing professional will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy that will make effective use of social media as a channel for communicating and connecting with our professional seller community in support of departmental and corporate objectives.

You'll work closely with the community and social media teams as well as other key stakeholders to engage and grow our professional seller social media community. Sellers are increasingly looking for eBay to connect with them through Twitter, Facebook, and other social channels. While eBay is active in the social space overall, we have an opportunity to develop a seller specific voice to engage in proactive conversations. You'll be responsible for developing fresh and enticing content, cultivating positive relationships with influencers, growing seller engagement, and at the same time – having an air tight plan when things don't go the way we want them to.

You've done this successfully elsewhere, and are anxious for a chance to lay the groundwork and strategically grow your own great ideas for an internet giant like eBay. You're self-managing and naturally energetic, bringing a positive perspective and a can-do approach to even the most perplexing situations. You'd love the opportunity to make something out of nothing much, and aren't afraid of responsibility, accountability, and creative chaos.

Under your supervision, eBay's voice to the professional seller community stands out from the mediocre din that pervades corporate social media efforts, delivering new, fresh, and innovative content in a voice that aligns with where our brand is today, and can travel to where we're headed in the future.

Your media relations skills are to die for and you understand that talk is worthless unless you deliver results. You take direction quickly and accurately, then are off and running while successfully navigating through our fast-paced, highly-energized corporate culture to strategize, design, plan, implement and deliver results – expecting and able to report on your progress. A proverbial people person, you work quite well with others, but you're capable of flying solo and carry high expectations of success.

This is a 3-month assignment with the possibility of an extension.——

Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the social media marketing strategy for eBay's professional sellers in support of departmental and corporate objectives
• Engage, as needed, with agency partners, stakeholders, complementary internal teams, and eBay sellers

• Maintain regular seller contact and respond to inquiries quickly and completely
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize results of social media efforts, reporting out regularly and as needed
• Stay on top of social media trends and ensure our strategies and programs stay fresh and relevant
