Our client is a digital storage pioneer and long-time leader, is seeking a leader to establish a world class system for CRM across all of our international markets.  This leadership position will drive technology, process, and systems for our client’s Global loyalty and CRM program.  The position will require subject matter expertise in the areas of “Cloud Technologies” including CRM platform development, Marketing Automation Platform, data architecture, and business analytics.  The WW System Development Manager will ensure industry best practices are followed with planning and implementation of effective technologies and processes.  Focused on ensuring marketing and technology objectives are met, the role will require acting as a ‘CIO for Marketing’.  Responsibilities will include ownership of the technology roadmap, support of system processes, developing, and ensuring the quality of the web-site and associated infrastructure.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Subject matter expert in understanding loyalty, trends in reward/engagement industry benchmarks, technology, business models, best practices in various channel and consumer industries.  Ability to make recommendation and implement within the business

 

  • Owns and manages partner portal systems architecture, databases, features and technology futures roadmap in alignment with business direction.  Generates and owns the roadmap for new capabilities

 

  • Recommend and enhance systems based on analysis of systems, feature performance, engagement metrics, productivity, and other measures against industry performance benchmarks
    • Support partner program alliances with strategic IT companies and channel media/groups to establish platform for new growth ventures
    • Support integration of functionality with the company. portal by leading the company’s teams
    • Seamless integration the company. platform with other interdependent systems such as Eloqua, Qlikview, etc.
    • Identify, qualify, and negotiate with technology and support service vendors.  Comfortable with vendor management and various contractual structures
    • Troubleshoots and solves issues through a systematic and holistic approach
    • Familiar with deployment and launching for new systems and capabilities (“sandboxes”, Beta Testing, phased deployments etc.)

 

  • Create and enhance reporting systems to track portal quality metrics, and results.  Support report requirement for the company., POS data in Salesforce.com, and other BI tools used across the company.  Institute and improvement/enhancement plan
    • Support and conduct analysis on portal metrics and marketing effectiveness

 

  • Develop and support preparation for business cases for the company. development with financial and strategic rationale.  Executes projects and manages the company. budget.
    • ROI analysis and total cost of ownership

 

  • Operationally manage from a system perspective the business processes workflow for POS databases, news, content, communication, reward and results/payout and payment processes.  Ensure compliance issues addressed (e.g. security & audit).  Co-manage 3rd party service providers operations, conduct QBR reviews with the regions and various stakeholders.  Ensure processes, database, business rules and tools/system are audit compliance.  Support execution of partner (customer) tools, communications, marketing programs, and global road-maps of WD teams in: 
    • Business marketing 
    • Channel marketing
    • Distribution sales
    • Marcom, and others

 

  • Forms and leads cross-functional teams to develop and improve systems to address business needs.  Directs and manages external and internal resources as needed for project development and enhancements
    • Manages internal stakeholders and international partners across multiple time-zones
    • Strong project management experience with flexibility to apply different techniques to ensure time, quality, and costs are met
    • Ability to communicate and engage with staff at all levels and across international locations
    • International travel as required

Qualifications

  • BA Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Marketing or Social Sciences; A background in mathematics and/or statistics is a plus.  MBA or Masters in CS preferred but not required.

 

  • 7 years related experience or in business and marketing required. Experience should include extensive loyalty industry analysis, e-commerce business model, IT technologies, preferably in a business with large volumes of products and sales.

 

  • Strong data analytic skills and well developed project management skills

 

  • Internet marketing and Distribution Channel experience would be an advantage
