Title: Business Analyst
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)
Experis IT has an urgent position for a Business Analyst with the following skills:
Background and Experience:
- Enjoys working in a fast paced changing environment. Demonstrate take-charge attitude and able to demonstrate flexibility and resiliency.
- Excellent Business Analyst skills and experience with the ability to manage multiple assignments independently. Specific experience with data analysis is preferred.
- Structured problem solving - ability to take a large, complex problem and break it down into components
- Strategy formulation - Excellent Problem Solving skills; ability to analyze the requirements, identify the gaps, develop and execute actionable plans to close those gaps.
- Facilitation - ability to work with several organizations with differing needs and develop an agreed upon solution to meeting the requirements
- Partnership/Teamwork - ability to work well with a variety of people and be flexible to take on different roles/responsibilities as projects change. Ability to reach out across organizational boundaries and ask questions for a better understand of end-to-end process flows.
- Influencing skills - strong business partnership, business process analysis, and influencing skills with heavy interaction at the decision-making manager/director/VP level.
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Experience in defining and designing new and improving existing business processes.
- Ability to take conceptual ideas and translate them into a forward thinking strategy with defined goals and measurements with a global mindset.
- Proven ability to deliver results
- Excellent proficiency with PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
- Specific skills with either Excel pivot table and vlookup functionality or SQL query skills (within MS Access or other database management apps) is a plus.
- Must have at least 4 years of strong proven Analyst skills with at least 10 years experience in a fast paced, high technology environment. At least 2 years Project Management experience is preferred as well.
- Requires BA/BS in Engineering or Business; MBA preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze financial and business information from raw data reports extracted from large databases.
- Interpret data extracted during data analysis and concisely communicate key information and impact to the organization.
- Drive requirements for how we operationalize ongoing success metrics through various cross-segment organizations. Structuring and conducting analysis in a logical manner to develop business cases and assist with data driven decision making.
- Possible assistance on execution of Site Strategy business initiatives, which will involve driving project deliverables with cross-functional stakeholders, communication of project status, issue resolution.
