We have an exciting opportunity for a marketer to help support us in our efforts to drive demand and build brand awareness for one of the coolest technologies in the Bay Area. This person will work closely with the Sr. VP of Marketing and Director of Marketing and will assist with demand generation, website, global campaigns and PR activities. This is a unique position in that your marketing skills will be helping to shift and influence the way our communities view public safety and security. Title: Marketing Manager
Description Overall support of Marketing department to reach demand generation, brand awareness and PR goals
Responsibilities Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
WEBSITE: Update website with press releases, news articles and various other documents.
Maintain online media kit of screenshots, logos, photos, press materials, etc.
BLOG: Coordinate blog calendar and do outreach to internal SST internal blog authors for updates to the SST Blog<
PRESS: Produce the quarterly Media Books using Meltwater and Universal tracking agencies
GIVEAWAYS: Track and order logo giveaways and SST apparel for events
COLLATERAL: Assist in ordering SST collateral, researching buying photos, arranging for approvals on proofs, organizing printing, maintaining inventories to keep reasonably low but not run out
INBOUND: Respond to incoming calls for information
Research projects as needed / as they come up, i.e. PR List/Editorial opportunities
SHOWS:
IACP and ASIS - Major trade shows and major effort as presence is key to company. Oversee/coordinate logistics, marketing, demos, collateral and presentations
- (~10 % of job – seriously begins in May, ramps up until almost 90% in Oct., and ends in Nov.)
- Plan budget for each facet of event for review and approval
- Plan and coordinate travel and rooms
- Book and coordinate SST invitation-only Banquet
- Work with Demo set-up coordinator and Booth logistics coordinator to make sure plans and deadlines are met
- Work with sales for meeting coordination, clothing, collateral and SST dinner invitations
- Work with PR/Marketing on outreach and creating a media plan
- Coordinate with the group presenting in the Solutions Theater
- Be the on-site for overseeing all aspects of the event
- Non-IACP trade show support
- Work with Demo set-up coordinator and Booth logistics coordinator to make sure plans and deadlines are met
- Work with sales for meeting coordination, clothing, collateral and SST dinner invitations

• MAILINGS: List research rentals, help w/ content development, printing organization of mailings
• Administrative support for Marketing as needed on a daily basis.
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Qualifications: BA or BS. College-level marketing or business courses preferred, 5-7 years of marketing experience. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently. Strong project and program management skills are required – ability to follow projects through to completion. Ability to work with sales, marketing and various departments within the organization. Excellent written, verbal and communications skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Interest in social issues, marketing automation and social media tools a plus.
