Office Manager / Patient Care Coordinator <br /><br /> Plastic Surgery Office – San Mateo, CA<br /><br /> Full Time<br /><br /> Monday – Friday; 9am – 5pm<br /><br /> As Office Manager & Patient Care Coordinator, you will play an integral part of a thriving plastic surgery office specializing in advanced cosmetic and reconstructive surgical services. The Board Certified Plastic Surgeon provides a comprehensive continuum of care, from patient education to a wide range of surgical and non-invasive procedures. <br /><br /> Essential Functions<br /><br /> • Manages daily operations of medical office and patient relations<br /><br /> • Schedules patients for office appointments and surgical procedures<br /><br /> • Obtains insurance authorizations for surgeries<br /><br /> • Coordinates with hospitals and surgery centers for scheduling of procedures<br /><br /> • Answers incoming calls and checks voicemail system daily <br /><br /> • Must be experienced in working with electronic healthcare records<br /><br /> • Works with electronic health care system (Office Ally) for scheduling, calendars, and patient records<br /><br /> • Guides patients through their initial consultation, providing them with information about their surgery <br /><br /> • Provides and promotes positive patient services and public relations<br /><br /> • Plays a key role in the overall care of patients<br /><br /> • Respects and maintains confidentiality<br /><br /> • Orders and manages medical and surgical supplies<br /><br /> • Motivated to promote and grow the practice<br /><br /> • Manages patients' expectations by presenting a fee schedule for procedures and scheduling follow up appointments as required.<br /><br /> Qualifications and Experience<br /><br /> • Must have at least an Associate's degree from an accredited school<br /><br /> • Experience in office management, customer service or related field (medical /dental environment preferred)<br /><br /> • Highly organizational and multi-tasking abilities with a strong attention to detail<br /><br /> • Maintain a cohesive relationship with patients, physicians, hospital staff and insurance companies<br /><br /> • Mature, professional and energetic demeanor<br /><br /> • Committed to completion of projects<br /><br /> • Computer proficient<br /><br /> • Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment<br /><br /> Applicant should submit resume and cover letter via email to bayjobsource@gmail.com. <br /><br />
