Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an Executive Communications Manager consultant for one of our high tech clients located in Sunnyvale, CA. The Executive Communications Manager will serves as a strategic communications advisor to the Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances to refine and implement their strategic thought leadership communications platform and programs.[T1]
Our ideal consultant is a proven executive highly strategic communications professional with expertise in executive platform development, storytelling, consultative coaching, content development, and social media.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day executive communications needs of the Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances
Collaborate with other members of the Global Strategic Alliances team to ensure the VP Personal Brand messaging and communications strategy is cohesive across the group as well as identify and leverage best practices to improve the reach and impact of those messages
Develop and lead execution of a comprehensive thought leadership platform for the Global Strategic Alliances initiatives
Help shape and articulate Global Strategic Alliances thought leadership platforms including their respective goals and priorities – internally and externally through appropriate communication channels and resources.
Create storylines and written communications in support of the executive's thought leadership platforms
Identify key stakeholders and ensure points of integration with other groups (e.g.: business segments, boards, architectures) and serve as communications liaison for the Global Strategic Alliances executive to these groups
Understand and leverage corporate communication tools and drive innovative use of these tools
Skills:
15 years' combined B2B customer facing executive communications, corporate communications and copywriting experience. Must be highly effective with corporate positioning and strategic communications.
Must have experience in a large enterprise organization and have supported a Vice President or higher level executive
Strong ability to build relationships, influence and communicate with ease at all levels (including C level executives.) Must possess excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
Able to partner with executives at all levels of the organization and collaborate as well as diplomatically influence senior leaders/other functions a cross the company
Proven ability to quickly understand company brand, messages, and priorities and create content aligned content in the voice of the executive
Solid decision making, analytical and effective problem skills
Exceptional writing, ghostwriting and editing skills (please be prepared to provide links or examples of your work).
Must have the ability to assess/understand varied audience needs and points of view and make information clear and easy to understand in the most compelling/interesting way.
Ability to create audience-and event-appropriate executive emails, presentations and speeches using the best medium and delivered through the best channels for desired reach and impact stage, video, email, face-to-face, blog, all-hands meetings, etc.)
Strong project management skills. Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines and transition between multiple/simultaneous projects seamlessly.
Results oriented, energetic, efficient, resourceful team player with a dedication to excellence
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required
Experience with social media platforms and tools a plus
Journalism background a plus
BA/BS in Communications, Business, Marketing, Journalism, English or similar
Pay:
D.O.E., as w2 employee of Crawford Group (benefits available)
