Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a Product Marketing Manager consultant for one of our clients in San Jose, CA. As a Product Marketing Manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of our client's products. In support of the go-to-market strategy you will drive positioning, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications. The Product Marketing Manager will be involved both strategic as well as day-to-day execution and will work with a cross-functional team across Sales, Corporate Communications, the web team and product development.
The ideal consultant has solid B2B enterprise product marketing experience and super content development capabilities. Looking for someone with a "get it done" mentality, who is nimble, fun loving and who appreciates the fast paced dynamics of a midsized company operating with the culture of a startup.
Requirements:
Provide input on new product market and customer requirements to achieve company targets
Ensure all customer touch points are in line with business and product strategy
Develop and drive the product marketing plans and materials for client product(s)
Develop product positioning, messaging, and external communications to ensure consistency across the Web. Be the product's brand advocate and key spokesperson
Collaborate, train and enable sales with customer presentations, product training, competitive counter-tactic, and seminars, etc
Work with the design team to develop marketing assets and materials to support product launches (i.e. e.g.: website materials, packaging, product videos and other product marketing assets)
Become the expert on competitive products, trends, and technologies and share insights with the rest of the team
Identify and research opportunities in markets where there are unmet needs to fuel future growth
Coordination: Drive timelines for product launches cross-functionally and develop marketing programs to drive demand
Skills:
3-8 years' Product Marketing Management/enterprise technology marketing management experience
Must have marketing technology expertise in SaaS
Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment required
Demonstrated track record of success across wide spectrum of marketing activities (advertising, public relations, digital marketing, etc.) and driving marketing for a product launch
Demonstrated success launching new products through cross-functional collaboration, especially with product development, Sales, and Marketing teams
Exceptionally strong content development/writing, editing and presentation skills. Must have the ability to translate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and communicate with all levels of an organization.
Experience working closely with a Sales organization with a strong affinity for enabling Sales team success
Verbally articulate and skilled at telling a visual story
Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Bachelor's degree and MBA highly preferred
RATE:
D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available
LOCATION:
Fully onsite at clients' office in San Jose, CA. No phone calls, please; local SF Bay Area candidates only.
HOURS/DURATION:
40 hours per week Full time consulting. Start date: ASAP – 11/30/16 November 30, 2016.
