We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to support social engagement efforts at a high tech company in Santa Cruz, CA. As the Social Media Specialist supporting the Sales, Strategic Alliance and Events Teams, this role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic social marketing programs on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. As part of the Global Communications team, you will work closely with other internal teams to understand, leverage and integrate elements of key campaigns and programs in support of social and influencer engagement programs aligned to events, strategic alliance partnerships and social selling initiatives.
This is a 40 hour per week role onsite work at the client's offices in Santa Cruz, CA, for 12 months. This is a w2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee, health benefits offered.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and manage a key piece of the social media community and content marketing effort
• Serve as lead the social selling initiative, being the key point of contact with related technology vendors and regional and country level sales team
• Develop and maintain a strategic alliance focused social media content calendar aligned with corporate initiatives including product and solution launches, special offers, events, etc.
• Schedule alliance focused content using social media publishing tools
• Partner with Digital Marketing/Events team and other marketing stakeholders to support key initiatives
• Develop and schedule social and influencer content plans surrounding events, tradeshows and executive speaking sessions
• Analyze internal data and market trend data to develop case studies, best practices, benchmarks and other marketable research and transform into compelling market stories
• Work independently while being able to collaborate with our global team members and key stakeholders
• Market intelligence: monitor strategic alliance social media company news to inform content strategy and co-marketing opportunities
• Stay current with industry social community engagement best practices and implement strategies to increase the reach and impact of your content pieces
Requirements
• BA/BS degree preferred; or combination of education and experience in a marketing position
• 1-2 years in marketing role, with social media savvy with understanding of online/digital marketing
• Experience with social media content planning and content creation
• Hands-on experience programming social media content on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
• Willingness to learn and master Salesforce Social Studio and LinkedIn Elevate platforms
• Sound social media and community strategy mindset, including committed personal or professional experience and contributions across multiple social media channels
• Ability to Travel- 10-15% of the time to US events
