Position Description
We believe our future success will be the direct result of delivering best-in-class photo sharing and storage experience to our audience. You will play a key role in developing this service and changing the way users interact with their photos on line and on mobile devices.
As our Senior Manager, Subscription Services you will be charged with the overall strategy, product and positioning of the subscription service. You will rely on your analytical mindset and data driven decision-making to determine our freemium product evolution and marketing investments. These decisions will be driven by Web analytics, conversion and churn rates, customer surveys, A/B testing etcetera .You will collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering to increase distribution, user engagement, retention and monetization. You can think big, communicate well, understand the customer, prioritize and make data driven recommendations.
This is a cross functional role, interacting with Product, Marketing, and Business Development, to develop, communicate and execute on plans that drive engagement, conversion and enhance the user experience.
Position Objectives
• Define and evolve the company's freemium / subscription strategy
• Understand the audience and user segments, use cases, competitive and substitute products
• Define the product and positioning; optimize the product to maximize engagement & conversion rates
• Design and test various tactics for increasing awareness and promoting truly viral distribution of the product.
• Understand the factors driving users to use the service, return and pay for it
• Test different offers and price points to increase conversion, reduce churn and ultimately maximize customer lifetime value.
• Manage the freemium funnel using cohort analysis. Test various tactics to influence CAC, conversion, churn, MRR, CLTV, etc.
• Define new product and service opportunities based on analyses.
Qualifications
• 3-5 years product management, product marketing, or online marketing experience
• Proven track-record with freemium business model and fluency with related metrics (CAC, ARPU, conversion, churn, cohorts), preferably in a consumer web or mobile environment
• Demonstrated ability to:
• Develop effective strategy and implement supporting tactics
• Manage complex projects to completion
• Experience analyzing customer behavior data in a Web-based business
• Expert with Google Analytics or similar WA application
• Deep understanding of mobile/web application usability/UI
• Track-record of data driven and analytical decision making and constant A/B testing
• Creativity and initiative in defining product and marketing strategy
• Experience influencing and facilitating cross-functional teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers, and employees
• BA/BS required; MBA or MA/MS in economics, statics, or mathematics preferred
