Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for a Marketing Communications Manager for a consulting assignment with one of our high-tech clients located in Santa Cruz, CA. This role will be responsible for developing, executing and measuring a strategic, integrated marketing plan which includes market message development and ensuring alignment with the overarching Brand and Marketing strategy targeting Enterprise B2B decision makers/buyer personas.
The Marketing Communications Manager will work closely with the Enterprise product team (hardware and software) to develop a marketing communications plan based on their marketing plan. The consultant will liaise with all marketing discipline teams (Content Strategist, Brand, Public Relations, Demand Generation, Digital Marketing, Events, Communications/Social Media, Channels and strategic partners) as well as other relevant business partners to develop programs and activities to support the plan.
Specific responsibilities:
Lead the marketing communications strategy planning and execution with participation from product and solution marketing to ensure the achievement of business unit goals and objectives, increase brand recognition and enhance client�s market position
Develop market messages that are consistent with the company�s overarching brand
Serve as primary liaison with other marketing teams and discipline partners to brief, review, select and incorporate their individual plans into a larger marketing communications plan
Provide guidance to marketing and brand leaders on timing and appropriateness of messaging and tactical marketing communications mix
Lead the marketing communications plan execution and measure effectiveness at key intervals throughout its implementation, adjust accordingly to ensure a best-in-class plan that delivers significant business impact for client
Build and maintain working relationships with other cross-functional partners to ensure effective collaboration across the enterprise
Manage creative agency relationships (internal or external) to ensure timely and quality execution
Manage the budget, track, develop and socialize the marketing communications calendar (reflecting the comprehensive marketing communications strategy over a rolling 18 month period)
Skills:
Minimum 5+ years developing, implementing and measuring marketing communications plans. Must have worked for at least one large b2b enterprise technology company
Knowledge and application of the Pragmatic Marketing Framework
Understanding of how to develop a multi-faceted marketing communications plan
Experience with the buy-cycle and general knowledge of which marketing communications strategies and tactics to use at each stage
Excellent interpersonal, writing, communication and presentation skills including the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross functionally with senior levels of management within client company and across external partners
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to track multiple simultaneous projects and deliverables
Take on the role of coach and mentor; demonstrate values of curiosity, respect, teamwork, and confidence
Hardware and software experience preferred but not required
Marketing or Business degree preferred but not required
RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available
