We're looking for the smart kind of designer who finds ways to work efficiently, leveraging his/her technical know how. <br /><br /> <br /><br /> As a staff Graphic Designer you will be working primarily with online projects such as email, display ads and website work. You will collaborate with other designers and copywriters in your daily work. You will also take existing assets and transform them into new marketing pieces, while meeting the brand specifications. We work closely with our internal clients to deliver thoughtful solutions for the business that also connect with our customers. You will develop and refine concepts, ensure efficiency and execute to the highest quality in a timely fashion. This is a fast paced environment where each of us is responsible for understanding and working within the timelines, deliverables, costs and resources as part of the Creative department's process.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):<br /><br /> • Designing for online creative marketing materials such as emails, online display ads and web site pages<br /><br /> • Have great photoshop skills and be able to retouch and enhance photography assets for the best color, light and shadow.<br /><br /> • Work within the Wedding Paper Divas brand style guide.<br /><br /> • Support design leads on day-to-day projects, campaign strategies and concepts for Wedding Paper Divas.<br /><br /> • Manage your tasks and timelines in coordination with others to deliver great work on time<br /><br /> • Work with the Creative team leads to understand each channels business objectives and how to solve business problems through the visual language.<br /><br /> • Work well in a fast paced environment. Flexible and adaptable to occasional changes in business requests and able to provide smart solutions to design challenges in a short timeframe.<br /><br /> • Able to operate under the guidance of Creative Director and Art Director. Follow through with the project from start to finish, while gaining creative leads alignment and approval in design direction.<br /><br /> • Must be highly collaborative and welcome constructive criticism. Able to take feedback and find ways to improve on design execution.<br /><br /> • Able to do small to medium project presentations. Present work with a solid rationale<br /><br /> <br /><br /> Qualifications<br /><br /> • 4 year degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts. Or equivalent.<br /><br /> • Ecommerce / etail experience designing for email, web and online banner ads and landing pages<br /><br /> • Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator as well as strong abilities with In-Design, ImageReady and Flash<br /><br /> • Understand the basics of HTML and the requirements that HTML places upon design.<br /><br /> • Experience with client facing situations<br /><br /> • 3-5 years work experience as an in-house designer or agency designer<br /><br /> • Portfolio that can show off your skills
