CONTRACT: Project Manager- 5584
Our client, a large financial services company in San Ramon, is seeking a highly-skilled, collaborative and proactive project manager to manage a large scale implementation of a work stream project. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success working across numerous business units (Marketing, IT, etc.), with exposure to financial services and financial products. PMP certification is a plus!
The Sage Group is seeking a Project Manager to work for a large financial services company in San Ramon, CA. This person will be responsible for managing a major initiative focused on implementing and managing a company-wide work stream process project roll-out.
Responsibilities Include:
- Proactively work with a Program Manager on a current company-wide work flow process initiative. Lead all elements of the project lifecycle for multiple concurrent projects in partnership with various business units including: project management, project scheduling/planning, and business administrative support.
- Design and develop approaches to ensure the strategic direction of the project is in line with business objectives.
- Manage the scope and change requests, plan and direct timelines, schedules and budgets.
- Oversee project continuous improvement and track projects against major milestones and adjust as needed.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project goals.
- Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to communicate key project objectives and steps to ensure buy-in.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a project or program manager role within the financial services industry, preferably working with brokerage firms
- Proven experience managing projects within consumer lending, mortgage banking, loans, etc. preferred
- Superb knowledge of the key components of full project lifecycle, associated tools and methodologies, including: scope, time, cost, quality, communication, risk and integration
- Knowledge and prior experience using Microsoft Project, Excel and Powerpoint
Skills Preferred:
- Highly developed communication skills within large, matrixed organizations
- Ability to travel to San Francisco, on occasion
- PMP Certification a plus
