[KITlist] Financial Analyst – Solutions and Services – Wind River Systems (Alameda, CA)

Wind River has an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to partner with our Solutions and Services Organizations. In this role, you will support various project managers, delivery directors and the GM of North America. You will be responsible for financial modeling, forecasting revenues and gross margins for different verticals with in the Solutions and Services group and developing internal management reports. You will gain an invaluable experience in a position that offers significant responsibility as part of a small, entrepreneurial finance team.

While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment, multiple priorities/tasks and dealing with different cultures worldwide. The employee will be required to make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations, grasp and apply new ideas, communicate with various personalities at all levels and have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.


Responsibilities:
• Partner with Delivery Directors for different verticals and maintain accurate project revenue, gross margin, and backlog forecast
• Prepare monthly variance analysis and explanations
• Review and approve deals as they move along in the selling cycle and ensuring they comply with the approval matrix.
• Work with Project Accountants to ensure proper billing on assigned projects.
• Work closely with the accounting group during the month-end and quarter-end close process.
• Prepare month end and quarter end journal entries for any necessary accruals or reclasses of cost
• Responsible for the preparation of Operational Reviews for various divisions in the Solutions and Services Organization (monthly and quarterly).
• Ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and recommending efficiency improvement
• Produce and maintain business dashboards for various customers within the Solutions and Services group
• Ad hoc analysis of business trends, scenario planning and special projects.
• Assist in the company´s annual business planning process (AOP)
• Participate in cross-functional business projects and analysis

Requirements:
• 2-4 years or more of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
• Strong financial system skills: Oracle 11i, Microsoft Excel, Hyperion Planning
• Strong attention to detail an ability to summarize large volumes of data
• Strong problem-solving and financial modeling skills
• Ability to make decisions in a fast moving environment
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels in an organization
• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field; CPA or MBA preferred
