Email Manager
 
Our company is seeking an experienced Manager of Deliverability who will support and improve deliverability processes, resulting in improved client satisfaction.  This position will be responsible for working with the Deliverability lead to help resolve deliverability challenges, effectively implement and manage required processes, implement new client-facing practices, and interface with technical contacts at ISPs.  Moreover, this person will be responsible with working with internal technology teams to identify and build-out required deliverability technologies. 
 
Responsibilities include:  
-              Actively participate and build relationships with deliverability industry groups and email coalitions
-              Work with client teams to introduce and implement deliverability technologies and processes
-              
-              Work cross-functionally to establish processes and procedures that optimize deliverability
-              Assist ISP relations, by leveraging “learnings” from both ISPs and clients, to  define deliverability platform features, services and tools to enhance our deliverability offering
-              Work with 3rd party partners to define value-add services that improve deliverability offering to clients
-              Work with Sales to define procedures for qualifying prospects vis a vis Our company’s deliverability best practices and standards
-              Work with the privacy team to identify potential client issues and communicate solutions, next steps and follow up. 
-              Support  Our company to ensure its sending technology meets ISP requirements
-              Understand and manage the deliverability team’s day-to-day responsibilities:
o             On-boarding,  testing and execution strategies to maximize email delivery rates
o             Monitor Our company system, network and campaign as well as ISP performance  to identify early problems/trends
o             Manage tactical ISP relations:  White listing, Feedback loops, escalations, blocking, absorption, SPAM filtering  
o             Investigate, diagnose and resolve deliverability and SPAM escalations
 
Specific Areas of focus:  
-              Support deliverability alerts/investigations 
-              DKIM: Carry out policy, oversee key management/rotation process, audit key implementation, recommend improvements on process/tool for managing keys
-              Assist on DMARC policy, implementation, compliance
-              
-              Track overall deliverability metrics and take appropriate action on emerging issues in addition to reporting general learnings
-              Audit of technical sending practices:
o             Evaluate retry times, greylisting, concurrent connections, throughput, mail delays
o             Header components, HELO, list unsub header, any other recommended headers
o             Examine sending implementation to examine for potential deliverability risks
-              Improve/automate process for pushing new sending domains live: validate authentication, confirm fully qualified domain, validate all appropriate DNS parts
-              Monitor for new filtering technology/techniques at ISPs and provide periodic write ups of industry landscape to tea
Requirements: 
-              Individual with prior experience in deliverability operations.  Required experience with an ESP, ISP, or email authentication vendor.
-              Demonstrated understanding of email, SMTP, MTAs, IP strategies, authentication technologies like DKIM or SPF,  reputation strategies, data hygiene, privacy, opt policies, anti-spam policies
-              Ability to work with cross-functional teams 
-              Ability to identify and implement process improvements
-              Strong interpersonal skills to lead ISPs, clients and internal team members 
-              Strong problem-solving skills - diagnosis, root-cause assessment, option evaluation and resolution
-              Ability to communicate clearly and strategically with clients, team members, and the marketplace
-              Ability to manage time and resources and prioritize projects in a rapidly changing environment
-              Undergraduate degree is required; graduate degree in either a technical discipline or business administration is a plus
-              Minimum 3 years of business experience with at least 1 year of e-mail and deliverability management experience
-              Bachelors Degree required, Advanced Degree preferred
