As a Product Marketing Manager for our Core B2B products, you will play a critical role in positioning, launching, and evangelizing our Core B2B products at a global level. The Product Marketing Manager will have responsibility for product messaging, marketing campaign strategy, product launches, and cross functional orchestration of marketing activities in support of our global go-to-market strategy. This position requires a diverse breadth and depth of marketing knowledge. You will generate market insights that lead to increasing market share and sales velocity. The Product Marketing Manager will have close interaction with general managers as well as engineering, product development, product management, business development, sales, marketing, and knowledge services teams.Your responsibilities will include:
Product Strategy Launch
Define the market opportunity for Return Path on the data side of our business.
Develop, own and drive the global go-to-market strategy and develop value propositions, including a thorough analysis of the business environment, competition, and target audience.
Work cross-functionally to build comprehensive go-to-market launch plans.
Marketplace Analysis
Perform validation and market segmentation exercises.
Continually monitor the pulse of the global market.
Build positioning and messaging for all data products in concert with positioning and messaging for other lines of business.
Analyze competitors' products/activities, determine differentiation, and create competitive advantage.
Positioning Messaging
Define and execute the market development strategy to build new categories, foster brand association, and increase market awareness and education internationally.
Build relevant content for buyers to consume in a variety of formats, including web pages, video, online events, and industry conferences, in collaboration with available internal resources.
Collaborate with sales enablement and business development functions on a well-defined sales enablement plan, including content.
Drive product naming, pricing, and positioning through qualitative and quantitative research.
Collaborate across the marketing team on key messages for lead generation, customer acquisition, partner development, PR, events, and more.
Sales Marketing Support, Focus and Contribution
Provide strategic guidance to the development of marketing programs, product-level selling presentations, collateral, and product content.
Develop go-to-market messaging plan for the product line � capable of driving rapid growth in market share, market awareness, sales lead generation and industry thought leadership.
Play a significant role in helping to achieve revenue, direct customer and channels bookings growth objectives targets.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
5-7+ year�s B2B software product marketing experience required; preference in email technology, web analytics or business intelligence software.
Proven experience in launching new technology products into the B2B marketplace.
Proven experience developing marketing strategies, positioning, and messaging for technology products.
Demonstrated ability to create and execute successful worldwide go-to-market strategies.
Proven experience in growing international markets and category building.
Proven knowledge in market and competitive analysis internationally.
Experienced in creating collateral, presentations and sales tools to support a worldwide Sales organization.
Excellent analytical and presentation skills including demonstration skills to handle many assignments simultaneously.
Strong global knowledge, leadership, sales support, and communications skills.
